Excellent!! My only question is, I watched both rear and front brake bleeding, at what point do you crack the bleeder valve?

Great video! I now feel confident in doing my brakes solo this time. Question though, where did you get the chrome cover for your reservoir? All I'm seeing are caps.

Thanks for another great video. How often do you change the brake line/hose and seals? Maintenance schedule from Yamaha recommends every four years (thats for the XVS650 though).

I was about to go forward with the brake flush until your advice to wait & get a pneumatic brake bleeder. I trust your judgement & I'm going to order one first. Although I don't have an air compressor (yet). Do you think I could get by with a hand held syringe vacuum pump designed for brake bleeding?
@retrotechandelectronics3 жыл бұрын
Ive bled brakes for years by hand..... I just prefer not to anymore.

I’m surprised you haven’t installed an oil filter relocation kit. Makes the filter change a 60 second effort.

I'm often asked this. I use this time as an opportunity to also clean the pipes, the chrome and other areas.

Thank you so much for this great video, truly appreciated! is there any chance that you might be able to make a video how to jet carburetors on the V-star 1100?

I bought a cheap air compressor from lowes but it doesnt hook up to the fluid bleeder. Is there an adapter I need or should I have bought a specific compressor?
@retrotechandelectronics2 жыл бұрын
Take the bleeder to Lowes and ask for that adapter for your compressor........

I’ve got a question, I was bleeding my 99vstar custom 1100 and the right caliper was giving no air from bleeding crew, but the right side keep giving me air bubbles what should I do or inspect??

On my 2003 VStar 1100 Classic I replaced the stock bleed nipples with speed bleeders on the two front calipers & on the rear caliper as well. Have you had experience with these type of bleeders? I purchased them from an american company called speed bleeder.

Front and rear, did you let the old fluid run out until the system was empty before introducing a new fluid or did you chase new fluid behind the old without letting the system ever run empty?
@retrotechandelectronics4 жыл бұрын
The reservoirs are drained, but the old fluid in the system is chased out with fresh fluid till the lines run clear. I could get really detailed and do caliper compressions but this bikes condition didnt call for it.
