Foreign tastes are reflected in music using clichés and stereotypes identifying different nations, often in a picturesque manner. Marin Marais evokes a sarabande of Spanish origin and pipe and tabor music, while Sainte-Colombe’s “Prélude” forms part of a typically French style.

The fact that this video has a dislike makes me kind of happy. I mean, the fact of knowing there will always be somebody to dislike things you do, even when it is M. Savall playing such a wonderfull piece, takes a lot of weight of my shoulders. You won't ever please everyone one no matter what you do and it's ok. Thank you, random stranger who disliked this video for making me realize this !

I was not expecting that reaction to a dislike hahaha. I don't know who could dislike such a masterful interpretation. Either a misclick or somebody jealous. Or perhaps someone without soul. :/
