Wow I'm in tears, this is so beautiful and a graceful cry out to those that ever feel condemned! Because it's too easy to believe being a Christian means you always feel saved, but I'm out here struggling some days. Thank you
@rosebomb Жыл бұрын
After coming out as trans and gay I was resentful at God and became bitter, and reserved and stopped believing that I could fit in anywhere as a gay, trans Christian, but after finding my faith again I stumbled upon this song that was 2 days ago and I have already been in tears about it several times because it turns out that my people are out there, I am not alone, thank you for making me believe that
@hongjoongsincrediblelooksa9686 Жыл бұрын
I'm also trans and gay, but I don't think I'll ever get to a point where I'll want to go back to being a christian, because my image of God has changed drastically throughout the years. However, my heart has always gone out to those of us who needed the support of religion and it makes me really glad to see that there are safe spaces for them like this beautiful song. One of my best friends is also gay and christian and I find that really beautiful to see, because the condemnation really tears apart my heart at times. (I found this songs for one of the books I'm writing, I'm trying to look through the eyes of someone who actually longs for a relationship with God in order to better understand the people around me, but I myself have found that my life is better off without religion)

I am not a fan of most "contemporary Christian music," but this brought tears to my eyes! So very true that so many of us grow up "in the church" and yet never really get the message of God's amazing grace through Jesus Christ. As an adult Christian, i have come to realize that we don't do a good job of "explaining Jesus."

I stumbled upon your song Love & War in Your Twenties in a study playlist, and as of now, I have only listened to half of it, but my Christian neurons fired like crazy (you now have an idea what I'm studying haha) because of the words you were singing that were literally the very thing I've been wanting to share to people, and I just had to check if you were singing about what I thought you were singing about. And so you are. I love what you are doing to spread the Gospel. God bless you, brother!

this song is amazing. i was outted by my christian school to my family and it put me through a period of time when i was convinced i wouldn’t call myself a christian, if these same people who hurt me used this label. this song puts it beautifully. we can’t let the hate of some christians let us forget jesus is a God of love. he wants us, even when his followers don’t. this song is a BEAUTIFUL reminder. thank you thank you thank you.

As a gay woman who grew up going to church but started getting hate from people that are supposed to love you. I grew up knowing God and Jesus loves everyone but most religion always ends up being hateful. So I had forsaken him because of human actions. I now realize that me being who I am is who I will always be and people can be mean doesn't mean God does not love you. God doesn't teach hate people teach hate. I am now with my beautiful girlfriend and happier and healthier than ever. Beautiful song as well as a guitar player and singer, I will definitly cover this. Love is love. :)
