About japanese animation/mangá in Brazil, you can say that is a part of our culture already. It started with the Tokusatsus (Ultraman, Jaspion, Changeman, Jiraya, CyberCops, etc) in the 70-80s. Then anime came in the 90s (the first one to explode was Saint Seiya). So, here in Brazil many of us love japanese animation/manga/culture (but is not the same animes that you guys like in Europe).

In 1963, Ben Jor practically "restarted" all the brazilian music portfoil with this song. "Mas que Nada" was his first single in life and he was just 18! You all have just heard the very first version of this worldwilde classic. As you said Frank, it's kind of presentation card of Brazil.
