To Torres’ family, I can only imagine your frustration anger and pain. Please know that as a DV survivor myself and as a woman, it may sound surprising to hear this, but Jorge had every right to put his hands on her any time that he may have, because he only ever defended himself in my opinion. Also, hearing how awfully he was treated by her, I commend him for not putting hands on her. We know he wasn’t a saint, just as none of us are either. But with everything he put up with with her, I believe more and more that he had more self restraint than most. Your father, your brother, your ex husband, your brother- whatever he was to you, Jorge deserved so much better than he was given in this short life. But I believe he is at peace now, no longer suffering, no longer struggling, and he will never have to be degraded like this ever again! He is free. I don’t know if this can bring you any peace, But please know that we see through the defense’s disgusting claims, and that we the public are outraged! Jorge will never be remembered for what the defense or Sarah is trying to paint him as. Jorge will be remembered as the man we so desperately wanted to see justice for, a stranger we wept for, and a son, a father, a friend, and a brother who was deeply loved by all of you. I’m so sorry for your loss, and I wish you peace and comfort as you continue to heal. Much love to the family and friends who loved him.

💜💜I too am a DV and SA survivor, in addition to having experienced a violent crime of this nature to my brother. There is no hate, hurt or pain that fills the void even 28 years later but knowing that justice will be served does mean something. I am grateful that Jorge's story was told by the Prosecution. He was victim of DV. He was a tormented man who also probably thought he was responsible for protecting this manufactured "family". He refused to out her but cried because he felt helpless; he was was the one who was afraid and now that we have seen the vidoes and have context it makes sense. It is chilling and terrible. Being a woman does not make one helpless but it did give her a way to seem so. She weaponized that against him along with is "manly responsibility". On every situation I saw he was gentle unless provoked and then immediately de-escalated. That bat scene has no malice in it. He looks tired and not aggressive. I have lived in fear for decades and while we each have our own sense of fear and triggers - my motherly need to protect at every time goes to him not her. Instinct matters to me. I am not on the jury but the facts then came together to support that. Not once did she make ONE statement on the stand that was centered around anyone other than herself. She was always pristine, blameless and helpful. Her attorney could barely steer her to the right answer - she is unbearable and could not have anything that was not her way. Thank God she got representation. Thank God Jorge's family is able to represent him to the world as they knew him. He should be reintroduced as a human and not a victim or piece of luggage. He seemed like a lovely man who chose the wrong woman. He had some bad habits but was not a bad man. RIH Justice for Jorge May those beautiful children find some peace. Blessings to his parents and siblings.

I’m sorry for what you have gone through, but I can tell that you have not let it destroy you, your heart, nor your compassion, and you refuse to let it hold power over you. It’s beautiful to see that healing strength in a person. Unfortunately there are people out there who do the exact opposite, like Boone, who pretends to be the victim while they are truly the monster. Wishing you all the best, and hope you take care!

Jorge Torres was a kind soul and now after the rest seeing the videos yesterday he will be remembered as that 💔💔💔 From the beginning I have known he didn’t touch Sarah Boone and that she was lying even about the family. As a DV survivor of my ex boyfriend I could see right through her. Have faith everyone has seen the videos now. Sarah Boone is evil. May Jorge rest in peace ❤️

I’m sure Sarah was the aggressor. Brian Boone even said she was aggressive with him. Im so sorry this family had to endure this. Jorge deserved better. The thing about it, at Jorge’s age, people don’t wake up and all of a sudden start being an abuser. If Jorge was really an abuser, the way Sarah claims, the ex-wife would be a victim as well.

agreed with the other comments. I believe they knew they would allow Jorge to speak for them. They also did not want to look as though they were attacking Sarah in case anyone on the jury was sympathetic to the DV charge. That was a new trick no other atty was willing to pull so they had to pivot.

Sarah premeditated Jorge's murder with "I'll get rid of him." Videos show Jorge on the floor, mirroring Johnny Depp and Amber Heard's trial dynamics, where Amber was the aggressor. Video comparisons reveal similarities. Jorge suffered verbal, psychological torture and physical abuse. Sarah's black eye probably resulted from Jorge defending against choking. Other bruises may result from similar abuse or intoxication. Monsters are real and nearby. Sending prayers, healing thoughts and love to Jorge's family.

Same! My brother’s girlfriend’s family, who are from Mexico (most born in Mexico, only the youngest kiddos born stateside) literally would make extra food for ME bc I don’t eat pork. If they knew I was coming over, they made beef or chicken for me😭 I used to be really shy, and thought bringing my son with us was rude, and my bro’s gf would text me and be like “don’t worry, they love kids, you can come relax and your son can play with the kids in the yard! Someone will always be watching the kids” I moved across to the other coast, and I miss my bro’s gf’s family 😂😂

Not sure why the daughter, Victoria, was not called to be on the stand. Find that strange that the Prosecutor not have the daughter speak about Sarah and Jorge relationship. Other trials I have watched the Prosecutor bring family members on the stand. Sarah made it seem that she always wanted him to call his children. This should have been in the trial.

She almost had me with that video of Jorge smashing the television, but then the prosecution played those verbally abusive and manipulative videos with Jorge cowering on the floor. She is the abuser. After watching the police body-cam videos and the videos that Sarah herself took, it became painfully obvious that Boone was the aggressor and the abuser. Jorge seems to have been a gentle man who would attempt to talk Sarah down, to try to make peace, to talk some sense into Sarah all while she berated him, talked down to him, and controlled his very existence. My heart goes out to Jorge’s family.
