He was 1-3 against Seattle Monday night with a couple of balls hit right by him. Are the Astros ready for the scrutiny he'll get now that he's back with the team? @PaulGallant & Joe George discussed...

The Dubon disrespect getting old. Dude has been one of the more consistent players on both sides for the last 200+ games. One of the best averages on the team, doesnt strikeout and plays good defense wherever you plug him in. What they need to do is start teaching Yordan how to play 1B. Less athletic guys than him have done it. Can't make me believe he would be worse than Abreu defensively.

Dubón is today's Marwin Gonzalez with a little less power. Great utility guy.

Valdez, jose abreu and presley need to go with them on the lineup we aren’t getting nowhere. Disrespecting dubon when hes been more consistent since last year and still chosing abreu over him is just ridiculous.

The losing is also back after starting to play well and were close to getting back to .500 baseball. This is just as dumb as it gets from management.

management only wants to prove they made the right move , they don't care about winning

Abreu is a vacuum sucking the life out of this team. An “old” Yuli can play better defense than Abreu.

The chemistry is now gone. Guarantee you the Astros will go straight down (fast) is management actually that stupid ? Things finally turned but they decided to go back to what didn't work. Rythm and confidence are NOW HISTORY!

They just arent trying this year. They can barely beat bad teams with him out of the lineup, now throw in his .099 batting average to get us over the hump

It's so true. Not every player obviously, but this offense is sad. They don't want it, not enough. Pitching is what always held us up most, and now you see what happens when it's good, but not stellar. It's so disappointing to see the moxy gone.

Notice all the worry was his hitting. No one talks about his awful defense.

Abreu surprised me, opened our offense, got an RBI & looked way better last night than before his return. Still doesn’t mean he should be starting. Dubon, Singleton, Loperfido, McCormick, Caratini, Meyers, all guys who’ve been more competitive & deserve it. Platoon him with those guys in a rotation & make him prove he’s one of the top guys out of that group.

Past 2 nights losses, past 2 nights no DUBON. Bregman just tries to hit a homer every at bat. It’s a team stop leaving runners stranded and hit the ball where you need to and get some points on the board.

Bregman and Yordan are pitiful

At least Yordon is getting base hits. Bregman needs to go to Florida and put Dubon at 3rd.

How do you play baseball in the major league for YEARS and forget how to bat?

Alex Bregman (.206) needs to Relax and STOP worrying about arguing with the umpire about pitches, and HIT the ball! It's as if he's fixated on being right, instead of getting on base and moving men up!

It’s called arrogance, he needs to really do a self assessment - come to terms and realize he’s not as good as he thinks he is. Be humble and act like you been there before. If he needs a visual example all he has to do is look at number 27.

Worthless, he kills you running the bases even if he gets a hit

Even with the white sox Abreu was not really that great.. he was average. He would go on these rbi streaks, played everyday but then he would go on these long slumps with no homeruns striking out always looking.. yea he won the al mvp.. but when he first came to the sox from cuba everybody was expecting him to be like the next Frank Thomas, but I feel like he never lived up to that hype and was just a regular player. Crazy thing is he's even worse and was not doing good when he got signed to the astros. Then he got a free ride to the world series which blew my mind even more lol. He is good at catching fly balls in foul territory.
