I am not Hispanic but I grow up in a small Mexican barrio. I got love from My mother and a few Mexican mothers too. I was taught to cook and speak Spanish. All of my educational mentors were Hispanic. I think there should be a place in the hearts of Latinos for people like me who fell in love with the Latino Cultura.

Jose Diaz-Balart comes from an old and distinguish Cuban family. His father and grandfather was a politician in Cuba [I believe senators] and he has a brother who is currently a congressman and another one who retired as a congressman. In colonial times [before the Cuba war of independence] his family had plantations with slaves. Blacks were emancipated in Cuba in 1888 years, over 20 years after they were emancipated in the USA.

Why do you always pronounce the ABC correspondent’s Spanish names with a Spanish accent, e. g.,Monica Alba, but not other names in their country of origin, e. g., Meagan Fitzgerald in an *Irish* accent?? Monica Alba doesn’t even say her own name like you do.

My great-uncle Lou was driven away from the Polish-region due to his religion (he was Jewish) and became the "father" of plastic-surgery. No doubt, he was and his contributions were huge for the US, but what a loss all this was for the land which eventually became the free nation of Poland!? Because the US sells this information and culture of "won-over" peoples to others in the world, Poland and others get this in a trickled-down procedure. Wouldn't it be more loving to simply share what one has accrued through joyful work, immigration or even through theft? After all land, here, was stolen many times over from indigenous people and is STILL being stolen. There is no time, anymore, to be afraid of my neighbor.
