Jose Montana & Guido Plüschke - two Irish Reels - Cajon & Tenor Banjo - Flamenco meets Irish Folk

Hello everybody,
Today I am proud to present the third video in my series, which was made during the World Percussion Academy in Heek.
This time I had the pleasure of welcoming José Montaña from Madrid as a guest. Actually, José's main instrument is the cajón, but at the World Percussion Academy he was asked to play the congas, which he also masters.
Nevertheless, he chose HIS instrument, the cajón, for the video, because he has been playing it since his youth for flamenco and also in Cuban music and jazz.
Together José and I present two traditional Irish reels called "Bird in the Bush" and "The Boys of Malin" in this video. It is exciting to see how different musical worlds meet.
The fascination of world music is that it often harmonizes with each other, even if it comes from different parts of the world. Here, flamenco percussion and Irish folk merge into a new and interesting combination.

Hallo zusammen,
heute präsentiere ich Euch stolz das dritte Video aus meiner Reihe, das im Rahmen der World Percussion Academy in Heek entstanden ist.
Dieses Mal hatte ich das Vergnügen, José Montaña aus Madrid als Gast zu begrüßen. Eigentlich ist das Hauptinstrument von José die Cajón, aber bei der World Percussion Academy wurde er für die Congas angefragt, die er ebenfalls meisterlich beherrscht.
Dennoch hat er sich für das Video für SEIN Instrument, die Cajón entschieden, denn diese spielt er seit seiner Jugend zum Flamenco und darüber hinaus auch in der kubanischen Musik und im Jazz.
Gemeinsam präsentieren José und ich in diesem Video zwei traditionelle irische Reels mit Namen "Bird in the Bush" und "The Boys of Malin". Es ist spannend zu sehen, wie verschiedene musikalische Welten aufeinandertreffen.
Die Faszination der Weltmusik liegt darin, dass sie oft miteinander harmoniert, auch wenn sie aus unterschiedlichen Teilen der Welt stammt. Hier verschmelzen Flamenco-Percussion und Irish Folk zu einer neuen, interessanten Verbindung.
