They weren’t. They’ve been frauds since Fergie left, as at least he fought against the Man Utd corporate. Once that had gone, all bets were off and finance bros were put into footballing roles. Mourinho turned nothing into something.

Im a Man-United fan but I have to say he’s one of the greatest managers of all time. Man United board and the fans weren’t realistic. They wanted José to deliver UEFA and EPL silverwares with Jones, Smalling, Blind, Darmian, Rojo, aged Valencia, aged Young, aged Carrick, aged Rooney, aged Schneiderlin, Fellani, Lingard, Herrera, and Rashford lol 🤦🏻♂️ the players I just listed, where are they now? Would Pep, Klopp, Pochettino would consider pursuing any of them?? With the shitty squad we had, he gave us the Europa league title, community shield, league cup, finished second on the table, and finished round of 16 in champions league. Thank you Jose, I’m more than grateful!!

@bigchiefplentynobuzz6 жыл бұрын
That's my whole point. He's pulling arbitrary numbers out of the sky, saying he won more PLs than all the other managers combined. Pep only started managing in 2009 and has 7 league trophies in three countries. Rafa has won more La Ligas than Mourinho, who was at Madrid for three years. As usual he's spinning a narrative to fit his own story.

He's in major survival mode. The whole clapping thing with the fans was totally transparent and with a purpose. He wants the headlines to be about how the supporters are with him which is exactly why the point the journalist made about half the united fans leaving early was the comment that triggered the rant + walk out at the end.
