This is sad to watch, after Ole losing Everton I needed to come back to listen to Jose. To remind myself, I think United fans are in denial, the club is in freefall for years, Jose did what he could, he did his best whilst the media, players and the ungrateful fans belittled him. Thank you Jose for your service, even the greatest manger of the modern era could not save United. RIP United
@THFCMarcelo5 жыл бұрын
yup, Jose was right and Man U fans are wrong. He's been your best manager since Ferguson tbh. He made a bad signing, but there is no way he could've predicted Sanchez, Lukaku, or Pobga to be so weak or uninspiring. Lukaku looked great at Everton, Sanchez in Arsenal, and Pobga for France. He asked for new defenders and the board didn't back him. The players imo (Pobga), played even worse because they knew that the pressure was on Mourinho and not them, and kicking Mourinho out means they can save their hides for some time. I miss football when players to accountability to how they play instead of the manager. Man U fans are idiots for believing Pobga who knows nothing about management instead of one of the most successful manager of all time.

Look at his stats in the previous 2 years. In 16/17 he lost only 5 and drew 15 ..... a sign of organized defense. the next season he finishes 2nd, and concedes only 28 goals. It was good for him to leave ManU to be honest. The players are not as mature as those whom he had at Inter 9 years ago.

United fans are the worst I have ever seen. All of them seem themselves as potential good managers. They give lineups to the manager on social media. The main problem of united is rooted in their so called legends who have turned pundits. So, day in day out, they give opinions on the media. Other clubs have fewer pundits on the media and they really don't talk bad about their teams often. So, the so called united legends give opinions that the street and stadium fans supports. It is beyond the players. The fans are taking powers from the manager and giving them to the players. The fans claim always the united way, what is the united way? Before Ferguson, what was the united way? There is nothing like the united way. What they had during Ferguson era was the Ferguson way. So, they should forget about any way as the united way because Ferguson has retired. The main proof that Ole will fail is that he doesn't have his managerial skills. He only focuses on the skills of Ferguson. You cannot copy and be the best or better than the one you copied. You need your way to become the best. That is why Ole can never succeed in United. I always write United fans are better than their hired manager.

@UCMmOCeADZhjwG8ajk84_I0A I'm not trying to justify Solskjaer or the board. But trying to paint this picture that Mourinho was some kind of blessing to United and was so harshly treated, simply isn't true. The board lost faith in him because the way he was isolating players and how a lot of his signings already had not worked out. He wanted Perisic from Inter who was another ageing player and on the decline, would have got a season or two out of him maximum. Inter's price was absurd, like £50m at the time. His foundation was non-existent, none of his signings were working out in his final season, so where was the foundation?

He really overachieved with United. 2 trophies in the 2 years he spent at United with a squad where Phil Jones makes the starting eleven is ridiculously good. Especially the Europa League. His crowning achievement I think was when his team beat us 3-2, coming from two down, because at the time we were unstoppable to anyone that didn't start with an L and end in pool, but José somehow pulled it off. I thought the sacking was very harsh. Season 1 he wins 2 trophies, season 2 he finishes 2nd with a shite squad. Ole is getting sucked off by the fans for simply being a former United player which is incredibly unfair on Mourinho. I understand Ole's start was incredible, but since then his team has collapsed and had some shittier results than Mourinho. Gotta feel for Jose here, how much I absolutely adore Pep, he was very harshly sacked. If Ole was in Mourinho's position after the Anfield loss I highly doubt he'd be sacked, and I 100% doubt most fans that called for Mourinho's sacking would call for his sacking.

As soon as I saw the news that he was sacked I immediately told my dad that it'd be a very bad decision. We are seeing this now. Jose was right about these players. They don't work hard enough and are not GOOD ENOUGH. Martial has been awful ever since he signed that 5 yr contract and doesn't work hard enough at all. @horstborscht74012 жыл бұрын
The underlooked part of this speech is that Mourinho indirectly criticises Alex Ferguson for leaving a squad that didn't have a long-term perspective. He probably knew in 2013 that this was the right time to step down, as he saw that he couldn't rebuild the team the way he did in the mid-1990s or early-to-mid-2000s. I think he planned to retire already in the early Noughties, and from 2003 to 2006 United weren't performing as well as in the previous years. But Fergie knew that he had future prospects like Rooney and Ronaldo, something that wasn't the case in 2013.
@TommyLFC6265 жыл бұрын
A large part of this world class managers demise at United was down the the English media. They took the piss out of him, made efforts to bully him and found it funny to wind him up. Those fans who chose to side with the media then made it even worse, how can you turn against a multiple Champions League winning manager?? I dont understand why United are so adamant they are still in a transition phase and that the investment spent so far isn't enough. You have arguably the best goalkeeper in the world, a Right back in Antonio Valencia who most United fans would tell you is one of the best fullbacks in Europe, Eric Bailly a defender who cost £40m. Matic, who helped Chelsea to many titles and is one of the best holding players in the country. One of the best and most expensive midfielders in history in Paul Pogba. As well as a huge array of attacking talent that clearly Mourinho is not getting the best out of. Mata, Lingard, Alexis, Lukaku, Martial, Rashford. That forward line should be contributing 70/80 goals a season easily. Yet it is nowhere near. United are only probably short of true quality in maybe 2/3 positions max. City have played the whole season without a recongised left back and have still blown everybody away. Still managed to stay on top with just one recongised forward for much of the season. Mourinho is trying to make it sound like United are around the same place they've been for the last 5 years or so, but they were under 3 other managers, two of which got the sack because they weren't performing. Jose should be getting so much more out of Man United because in terms of the starting XI United and City really are not all that far apart. The difference right now mainly comes down to manager.

Sam Harrison This, I mean on paper id almost say United has a better squad. Atleast more depth. But one manager gets something out of his players while othe always asks for more players.
@chriswhamilton6 жыл бұрын
Sam Harrison Bailly has been out half the season. We have what seems like a different back four every single game as nobody can stay fit or claim a place. We have nobody capable of playing on the right of midfield, we have about 5 players that all want to play on the left in the same area of the pitch. Rashford and Martial are still young and inconsistent, one day great, the next anonymous. No depth at all in center midfield, if Pogba or Matic get injured we have nobody else of sufficient calibre. Up front I think we are well serviced but our issue is our midfield and defence can't link to get ball to our attackers. Our squad is totally unbalanced and full of average players that have failed under four managers now. Jose is slowly trying to get rid of the dross and bring in better players that he can trust and can perform for him.

Who is here after united was knocked out of champions league. Jose was betrayed by cluless united board, he is the last united manager to win something. Let that sink in
