"Of je worst lust" came from an old leverworst commercial. A couple of friends sat in a cinema and one of them offered a piece of sausage to the person 3 or 4 seats away, but he had to wisper. The other person couldn't understand and simply replied with "what" everytime until he finally said it louder, exactly at the point where the movie audio also stopped so the entire cinema could hear him. It might've been Kips leverworst

I loved the video! Please next time show David: “De Familie Knots” (I still think it's incredible that three actors played so many characters!) and “Loenatik”. I loved those shows, and if David liked “Zaai”, I think he will like those two as well.☺️

Yes Loenatik!
@Widdekuu91
@Widdekuu91 2 жыл бұрын
@@RedPanda79 YES Loenatik, but be sure to explain it a bit, given the current situation with highly-sensitive-folk (even in the comments, there's people complaining about whether or not Joseffa _should_ have felt offended about Zaai, given the fact that technically a similar accent to Frysian is being used and her cultural background contains amongst others; Frysland.) So, make sure to clarify that the main message was to disarm and to inform that people with mental disabilities aren't weird or scary, even though they might behave differently from others. They're not mocking depression or manic behaviour or bipolar disorders, they're showing you that if you know someone has a disability, then consider that even someone that has the tendency to mumble about knifes and occassionally talks about stabbing people (Mevr. De Haas) doesn't necessarily mean to harm, and can be a very fragile and friendly person in real life. A person that seems fine one moment, can get anxiety a few moments after (Dokter Dootlittle) and even though Fats is a very whiny and complain-y type of person that regularly angrily steps out of his wheelchair to be able to walk up to people and assure them he's an invalid, there is still something that Fats needs help for, it's just probably a mental problem and not a physical one. That mystery might never be solved. Either way, I think it's a great movie (and a great series) and it'd be interesting to see David's response to a movie like Loenatik, also considering it is a children's movie, but there are quite a few dark themes in there. Either way, IF you decide to show Loenatik, then please go for 'Loenatik de Moevie' and put a few moments in a row that really show the movie's atmosphere. I didn't like "Loenatik te gek" too much, especially the ending looked rushed and uncharacteristicly childish.

Or Heidi and Psychology Jim Button about dragons, death, trains (Rarely see people remember that one) Ernst & Bobby I mostly remember on the episode for earning money by doing work as a kid Tintin as.. In the Dutch internet serie, "Stemmen van Toen" (Voices from Then), voice director Meindert de Goede explains the characters were based on real people they knew. For example, Juffrouw Ooievaar (Mrs. Stork) was based on a lady who regularly visited them and who was like an aunt for them. As for the jokes, they thought it would be funny to add (child-friendly) social cultural jokes in it, so adults would enjoy it as well. Here is the intro with the real translation: kzbin.info/www/bejne/Z5SbZYdtgLlgrtU Singer: Frans van Dusschoten Lyrics (intro): Hallo, Meneer de Uil, (Hello, Mr. Owl), Waar breng je ons naartoe? (Where are you bringing us?) Naar Fabeltjesland? (To Fableland?) Mr. Owl: Eh... Ja! (Err... Yes!) Naar Fabeltjesland, (To Fableland), En lees je ons dan voor uit de Fabeltjeskrant? (And are you going to read to us from the Fable Newspaper?) Mr. Owl: Ja, ja, (Yes, yes), Uit de Fabeltjeskrant, (From the Fable Newspaper), Want daarin staat precies vermeld, (Cause in that is exactly mentioned), Hoe het met de dieren is gesteld, (How the animals are currently doing), Echt waar? (Really?) Mr Owl: Echt waar. (Really.) Echt waar, Meneer de Uil? (Oh really, Mr. Owl?) Mr. Owl: Mhm! I got a real classic here for David! It's a sketch from the children's show of 'villa achterwerk'. The sketch is actually extremely NOT suitable for kids if you look at it nowadays, but yeah, it was the 90's😂 It's about a 'gabber' who's clearly high on XTC who goes shopping for a new 'aussie'. The title of the sketch is: 'de nieuwe Aussie van de gabber'. I actually found the link so here it is: kzbin.info/www/bejne/nZLPoHmQZdmksLc Enjoy!

I am half Greek half Dutch and grew up in Greece, so I kinda knew about these shows from when I would visit the Netherlands every summer but never really watched them. And I'm glad I didn't cause...why!?! 😂 In Greece we mostly had cartoons/shows from abroad, or we had programs similar to the Disney channel. If we had actual Greek programs I guess I never watched them.

Also, 2:50 about the 'deep' conversations they have, it reminded me of a cassette-tape by Sesamestreet. It had Ernie singing; '...and if I am upset, you won't be hearing that, because I'll be playing on my trumpet!' And I felt that was such a humanizing thing for Ernie. He plays the trumpet to bother Bert, every now and then, but appareantely he also plays it when he's upset. Giving kids the insight that, if you can't to your feelings into words, you might be able to put it into song or music. Not to mention a song by Tommie about catching a fish and feeling from within himself that releasing the fish would be the kindest thing to do. "I asked the little fishie, aren't you enjoying yourself right now? And very silently I heard a little voice say; 'No.' But that voice came from within! Ofcourse, fishies can't really talk, but I still released it. Back in the ditch. With his friends. And the adventures of Tommie (Op Avontuur met Tommie) in which they go to the beach and get lost on their way back with ice-cream. From the perspective of a child, this is terrifying, so they sing a song about their fears and misery, while they keep walking; "I wish we'd set a trail, a trail made of white shells! Or crumbs of bread! We can't help it, we lost our way! And maybe it'll be our death! Death!!! What if I never see my teddybear back? Never be able to horseride on Lex's back again! I wish I was safe in my beeeeeed..." Cue to a very dramatic violin-instrumental and after all this drama, they find Frank back, who was waiting for them. They were gone for about 5 minutes. So they then sit back and look at the sun, going under. They start a (beautiful) song, that goes; "The sun is like a big red ball, that is slowly sinking into the sea. The water and the waves...they look like fire! Do you think the sun can swim? Or will she drown in the sea? Sometimes I find something so beautiful, so beautiful. It just makes me tear up. When something is so beautiful and soft It feels like pleasant pain. Listen close, then you might hear What the last bird is telling you; I'm going to sleep. Goodnight. I'm going to bed right now. Sometimes I find something so beautiful, so beautiful. It just makes me tear up. When something is so beautiful and soft It feels like pleasant pain. (And then a very slow noise, the water, some humming and by the end of the song, everyone that was listening is asleep.)

Love your videos. Mostly because is funny and also because of the american dutch differences and last but not least because you are a fun couple to watch. Dutch people like to watch people who act as they are. You are:) What I want to ask is that I would love to see a video about the history of New Jersey, New York (state and city) and Rhode Island and yes because of the dutch origin. Why? I don't know :) I just researched it myself. I was surprised I didn't know all of it. Broncks) etc. etc. That was before the 13 colonies where founded. And also in the 19th century when people moved to the USA to for instance Pella (Iowa) I saw some youtube videos about that. Strangely these settlements show oftenly an old image of The Netherlands I think.... Also New York was traded with suriname with the british etc. etc. and there was the slaveindustry by several european countries. Something to mention for sure also. I would like the history. But even if you won't do this. I do like your videos. It is a suggestion :)

I grew up with De Fabeltjeskrant. There wasn't much else on at the time (so we watched a lot of German tv which was on more, but anyway). Ed and Willem Bever even had a hit song with 'Hup daar is Willem met de waterpomptang.' Oh! Zaai!! It means both Her (zij) and boring (saai) the way they say it. 'Postbode Siemen. Wij vervelen ons, dus jij moet iets verzinnen. Oh. Maar ik kan niet. Ik moet werken, daarom.' The accent is Groningen, not Friesland I think. It was a kid show by cabaretiers, which sort of translates as stand-up comedians/skit comedians. They did live comedy shows on stage. Still do, I think.
