Bartomeu is definitely responsible for Barcelona being in this state. He signed players at insane prices and sold off some good players and I am not going to talk about that wage bill that he made that will become a huge problem to the club. Bartomeu' idea of bringing in players without the insight of a coach has been a disaster. We have all seen Valverde as well as Setien benching some of the multimillionaire signings in the club's history. But Barcelona's problems won't end with Bartomeu leaving. The players including Messi are not the same level as they were against good teams.
