Joseph should have got the last bow!!!
@ItsLeo-wi2sv3 жыл бұрын
Was it the narrator who got it? I got a bit confused
@ciaranmarsh2553 жыл бұрын
@@ItsLeo-wi2sv yes the Narrator got it. But Joseph is the one that should have the final bow.
@ItsLeo-wi2sv3 жыл бұрын
@@ciaranmarsh255 yeah, I don't see why there was such a big entrance for the narrator
@tomirek75733 жыл бұрын
It's because the lady playing the Narrator and Jason Donavan are already well established performers. The boy playing Joseph is new to the business just after drama school. If you notice same applies in films when newcomers take the main part. Christopher Reeve played Superman in 1978 film, but his name in opening titles was displayed after Marlon Brando or Gene Hackman. Brando was only few minutes on the screen, cashed way more money and didn't bother to learn his part, but read it from cardboards held by assistants.

She was the narrator, who runs the show, plus she performed as the director had directed...

@@vsepkes it's Joseph and the amazing technicolor dreamcoat not narrator with Joseph and the amazing technicolor dreamcoat... had enough of it.

Now I LOVE Sheridan however she was just shocking as the narrator - it was incredibly self-indulgent and all about her. I know that is what Laurence wanted but it was too ott and pulled focus too much. Was also not a fan of Laurence's decision to have Jac, Jason and Sheridan share the final bow - it's called Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, NOT Pharaoh/The Narrator and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. Other than that (and how meh the set design was), I absolutely loved this production.
@danielbaskins66013 жыл бұрын
I don’t mind if the narrator has the final bow but the fact that Jason bowed after Jac was insane. Star or no star. It’s Joseph. Not Pharaoh lolol. But I do love all of them
@ciaransammon3 жыл бұрын
Agreed. This is insane. And the narrator is not great. And that curtain call makes no sense.
@zachcoulson16013 жыл бұрын
Yeah. I saw the show with her and the stand in narrator and the stand in was so much better. Sheridan made it to seem al me me me and didn't suit the role
@zachcoulson16013 жыл бұрын
I also didn't like the decision to replace the iconic coat. The original coat was symbolic of the show. The staging was great I thought

Pharaoh doesn’t deserve the second last bow. He doesn’t do nearly as much as Joseph, who only gets the third last bow. Pharaoh should be third last, then Narrator, then Joseph. In a show called Joseph, it sure is strange that Joseph gets the third last.
@Leemackenziemusic3 жыл бұрын
I can’t believe Jac Yarrow did this as his last year of his Degree at ArtsEd!

This is absolutely phenomenal, the energy on that stage is unreal. (But why did Joseph’s curtain call come before Pharaoh? That’s so weird haha)
@ciaranmarsh2553 жыл бұрын
Joseph should always get the last bow

I was thinking this. Only reason I can think of is they’re doing the last 3 by billing, making Sheridan smith top

This mega mix at the end of the show revitalized this show. Great to add the kids and make it a true celebration. Great for touring. I saw it in Hong Kong with Donny Ozmond and HK Chinese kids. The kids were fantastic.

Who the f. is that woman playing the narrator?! Jeez, she might be a well known actress in the UK but she's not the star of this show. It should be actor playing Joseph.
