The Bible remembers his greatest work: giving up his tomb for Christ. But the Church also holds stories about him bringing the Gospel all the way to Britain!

I live in Geelong, Australia, the second largest city in Victoria. One of the original settler families of the area was the Austin family. They came from Glastonbury, UK. They were, at the time, the richest family in the colony, then known as The Port Phillip District of New South Wales. The Austins brought over the Glastonbury bush and planted it on their estate. They built hospitals, orphanages and schools in around Melbourne and Geelong. At the Protestant orphanage in Geelong, one of their projects, the bush was also planted. The orphanage was closed in the 1970s and became a military college and then a part of a large Protestant school called Christian College, which is still occupying the premises and land. I worked at the school for five years. Whilst cleaning out a cupboard I found a book detailing the history of the orphanage, the Austin Family, and the tree. Every thing you state your in video is the same as what I read. Unfortunately, the school wouldn't listen to my pleas to protect the tree as they considered it to be mediaeval Roman Catholic nonsense. I didn't get a chance to resue it. The school is called Glastonbury. The land between Melbourne and Geelong was once called Avalon. The name survives in the title of Melbourne's second airport, Avalon Airport. There's an international airshow held there every two years. The book I unearthed said that the staff of JoA was the spear that pierced the side of Christ, and the thorns of this judean tree were the thorns used to create the crown worn by Jesus.

Wow this is so interesting, I loved reading this connection to Glastonbury. I grew up in the Eastern Suburbs of Melbourne. I travelled and ended up living in Glastonbury for many years. This video is spot on with the local traditions, stories and landmarks within the town. The Hawthorn tree is in two locations. One in the Abbey in town, which was destroyed by Henry the VIII and the other on Wearyall Hill opposite the Tor. The youngest school child would pick a branch off the tree at Christmas and it was sent to the Queen/King to have on the table for Christmas lunch. There are many unique and interesting parade/gatherings that go through the Main Street each year. One of these have all the Christian Diocese walk down the street into the Abbey recognising it as the birthplace of Christianity. And that is just scratching the surface of this interesting little town.

Including the deliberate destruction of these trees, which i am sure delighted the underworld. I don't think you said that any trees from grafts remain anywhere near there.. @@pamelarose1834 I believe (but it’s only based upon faith and intuition) that the young Christ and Joseph of A. came… I suspect it is all possibly true at the very least - and that this location was the first Christian church… But I won’t know the facts until Christ comes or I die and go to Him. I don’t need to be ‘greedy’ or too driven for all answers - because they can only be shrouded to mere mortals like me (thus far). Mystery is what we are all faced with down here in our mortal realm - and perhaps always it will be part of our wonder before God and HIStory… We are given what we need for now - and we are so blessed by knowing our place and being thankful - and that is obedience and subservience to our Holy Father - the almighty Creator of Life. So, it is marvelous to consider the history and to treat Avalon as a sacred place in our hearts - but I am focused more on walking the daily walk of living in Christ - and this involves the love of and good of those people around me, events immediately around me, and to keep learning how to follow Him best from Scriptures and prayer… the Holy Spirit and the Father. I pray you can find peace, love, and faith and comfort in what lies ahead beyond all understanding into His arms and the Kingdom beyond this world.

I've also read that he is the older brother of Mary and that he brought Mary with him to Glastonbury, where there is a church with a plaque dedicated to her. Wonderful stories, indeed! St. Joseph of Arimathea is said to be Blessed Virgin Mother Mary's uncle, Christ Jesus' great uncle. This makes more sense for him to have approached Pilate; St. Joseph coming forth as Jesus' male next of kin to claim the Body of the Lord. Sts. James and Jude were legally step-brothers of Christ but, may not have been Christians yet and, just as well, weren't as near blood kin (they were cousins by blood) to Christ Jesus anyway as was maternal great uncle St. Joseph of Arimathea. Sts. Empress Helena and Emperor Constantine the Great are supposed to have descended from St. Joseph of Arimathea via "Old King Cole" of Britain, the country where St. Joseph took refuge, after his burial of the soon-to-be resurrected Christ, amongst his historic associates in the tin business.

They took 2 Brit import stores away from Salt Lake City. Very few Brit items available in Utah County. Perhaps yours is in Santa Monica? Does your store sell the licorice toffee center sweet with currant hard candy covering? Not the cheap tasteless ones but the very expensive ones that cost $ 7.99 per pound way back in the mid-1980's? Anyway, you may find a hawthorne tea in a health food store rather than a regular grocery but it could be disappointing in flavor. Here in Utah, they sell hawthorne ice cream. It seems tasteless to me whereas I would say cranberry has much more flavor ( in its juice form) as it is tart.

The Image of Joseph in front of the white church on the hill resembles King Arthur. Ill now connect why this is; theres a 1962 topographic map of Ireland, on it you will see biblical figures and a familiar story come to life. Joseph of Arimethia, wearing a purple robe is holding the Grail. Inscribed on the grail is the name of ?. Omry or Elsa is what i read but i could be wrong. Infront of the grail is a face, submerged into the landscape, frozen in time. Theres a red ribbon of blood flowing from west Ireland into the grail, the bloodline is inscribed aswell, Jawchoam is what i read, could be wrong. Two figures stand on the west coast connected to the bloodline, a black man and a white woman, Inscriptions are very hard to read on those two figures but visible. Zoomed out it reveals Joseph is Arthur, inscribed on the neck of the purple robe is ARTUR, hard to see but present. The crown of Joseph is amazing but something unexpected, it appears he has a flaming Boar head. God be with us all

Hidden in plain sight. The identity of Joseph is only for those who have eyes to see and ears to hear. There was never a community named Arimathea. However, Jewish tradition and the context of Jesus geneology lays plain the truth hidden in plain sight. I will give you three hints. One: Jesus’ genealogy states He was a first born heir of a first born heir to the throne of King David. Two: As is common in royal families an Israelite Prince had a name title. The English interpretation of the Israelite Prince name/title is The Lion of God. Three: Jewish tradition dictates that only the eldest male relative could claim the body of an executed person from the Roman government. Bonus: go look up the Hebrew phrase for Lion of God.

You miss the true importance of Joesph. To be crucified was to be dishonored and disreputable where the bodies were not given honorable burials butto be thrown on the garbage heap and forgotten. The Pharisees wanted Jesus to be dishonored and his teachings to be made disreputable and thus forgotten by crucifiction. Joesph going to Pilate and asking for permission to give Jesus an honorable burial was sanctioning the burial officially which the Pharisees could not dispute. Pilate having given the Pharisees Jesus life was not going to give him them in death. They had taken enough. The pharisees also could not taken retribution against Joesph for he had acted within the law. Joesph by giving Jesus an honorable burial resurrected Jesus reputation and teachings as being reputable. Thus the spirit of Jesus lives.

ahhh hahaha King Arthur was Jewish😂 oh man never heard that one! haha. Not that I am laughing at Jews no no no. Just, first time I have ever heard that part of the King Arthur legend… that is, the Joseph of Aramathea was his ancestor. But of course you’d probably have centuries of admixture, genetically. Anyways, I did laugh mainly because I love old legends like that and I never had heard that one after hearing the King Arthur story ad infinitum, occasionally, for my whole life. Also that Glastonbury Thorn one was really cool too, regardless of veracity. Although since they have an actual subspecies of Hawthorne, it shows that somebody definitely believed that story of J of A planting his miracle stick their.
