1 hour+ last 2 videos were under 50 min , they were pretty boring tbh... your videos are going down hill fast imo.. stretching a overnighter in 3 part 1 hourish videos is kinda of ridiculous... This aint going to work long term... You will end up like all the other channels that got sponsored and started to get lazy with there content...1 million subs... but 20k views on each video..oh well it's your channel and you can do what ever you want..

Don't know if you ever read old comments, but I just found your channel. I'm a seventy year old lady with an old time cure for burns, take a small baggie of baking soda with you. If a get burned, make a paste with water. The pain goes away instantly. Keep it on as long asyou can and it will not hurt in the morning. Old means long winded, but I am enjoying you.

We all appreciate you brother. The amount of time you have to spend setting up cameras, then going back and getting them, then setting them up again just to go back and get them, it's soooo much work. Then stopping the video, moving the camera 6 feet, making sure your in frame, then starting again. That doesn't include the HOURS UPON HOURS of editing. We ALL appreciate the hard work you do, even when we complain about little minor things.

Could not resist a second comment watching you feed Scout raw meat...good on you Joe. My Shepherd Boone lived to the great age of 17 years 5 months ...and I attribute that longevity to having raw food as part of his diet. At a 120 pounds he was a large dog and never had joint problems...of course spending many many days and nights in the wilds also played a part.

I know you didn't have burn remedies out at the camp, but in case of another burn, you can use white vinegar (soak with a paper towel for around 30-40 minutes) then apply raw honey and wrap with same paper towel. Remarkable healing qualities. Sorry you burned your finger.. great video. Dogs just make life better!
@joelbenoitthewanderingbiso49766 жыл бұрын
Healing yes, but does it really, and I mean really take the burn away, not try judging at all, cause I really want to know I'm a Chef/ Butcher, and I'm in pursuit for the best working "burn" ointment. All I know of so far is Mustard, and I'm trying to make something using mustard. Though I will try your solution too, I'm a firm believer in vinegar and honey.
@bcardwell606 жыл бұрын
I burned my own finger although not as badly as Joe did.. used white vinegar on a paper towel for about an hour.. then applied raw honey.. next day, no blister, no pain. I also had a friend her burned her hand badly with hot bacon grease, her hand swelled badly... she used this remedy and several days later removed bandages... her skin was unharmed. I hope you do not have to find out whether this works or not, but if you do.. I hope it works very well for you.
@joelbenoitthewanderingbiso49766 жыл бұрын
Shawn Caney i will and do, as to everyone, I don't speak for them, buts better than the crap you buy made in a store.
@thatrealba6 жыл бұрын
The vinegar does draw out the heat from the burn, which is far more important than any other part of the process. You only cover the burn with some healing aid AFTER the heat is out. Personally, I only cover with something to keep bandaging from sticking to the wound.
@thatrealba6 жыл бұрын
He has snow in the area, which would work better than vinegar anyway. Anything like cold water, cold canteen... you get the idea.

Hey... Great video. I like how you name all the stuff you bring. Gives a better idea of what to take. Your burn. The best thing to put on a burn after you get burn is sugar. Keep packets in your first aid box. When you see Scout stretching, mesage him. It will help him out. And I think it's good you do spend time with him. Dogs have too short of time in this world to spend it alone.

I think he is trying to time his beer consumption with his cooking so as not to have too much of a buzz while he vlogs before dinner. However, subconsciously, he wants that beer buzz which in turn leads to an overcooked steak. I know because I DO. MANY a steak has been overcooked because of many a fine beer.

Hi Joe Sadly, some of the comments aren't that far off the mark. Wanna know why I think that's so? because you looked bored old chum, in some places you looked bored out of your mind. Especially just as you went looking for firewood and that certainly makes me sad, also makes me feel you've something on your mind. If that's so, I hope you get through it man. OK so, yes, go with the 'building a camp' everyone seems to like that idea. Also the canoeing trips. They were awesome though I preferred the ones where you actually slowed down and enjoyed the lakes rather than turn it into a speed and distance marathon. Wouldn't have bothered me if you stayed on one lake / river the whole trip and spent more time fishing and having a good time. Man we all understand about whats going on with the demonetization and how that is quickly becoming a threat to many bushcraft channels, We can only hope that Joerg and his union get it fixed but I hope that's not what's getting you down bud. Get back to having fun with it because if you don't enjoy making em it shows and people won't enjoy watching em. I don't publish any of my stuff but I understand how difficult it is, and I know that turning a hobby into a business can ruin the hobby, been there done that :o/ ... You need to find the joy again Joe. Maybe head out into the wilderness, why not a bit of fun Sasquatch hunting? We'll all know its just for fun but at the same time you could get back to teaching skills right? Or maybe just do some tracking and mix that with a few overnighters. How about some covert camping? you know, the whole escape and evasion 'leave no trace' stuff? There's so much you could do that will make it more fun for you and as I say, when you're having fun, we're having fun too :o) Hope some of that helps bud, if not, you have my deepest apologies for my intrusion. All the best from over the pond. ...

Hey you two, do your parents know your on the net, or are you under the covers with a torch again? You're right about one thing though, Joe is 'The Man' in more ways than just KZbin and he can tell the difference between genuine concern and just mindless criticism, unlike you pair ofr chumps he reads stuff and thinks about it. that's the mark of 'a man' and the ability of showing concern and suggesting possible remedies is the difference between an adult and a pair of fanboys. Have fun with it ;o)
