I think a great thing about this series is that he doesn’t add music or sound effects to intense moments, where he keeps the journey original.

Hey joe, I was watch this video and I got to a curtain part of your video that really hit home! In one day this weekend I lost my girlfriend and my roommates abandoned me with a house I can’t afford. I got to about the 33 minute mark when your were on the lake when it was calm and you said something that really hit me! You said, “ Nothing seems overwhelming, it’s just happening.” You said you were overwhelmed at first but when with the storms come you went to your shelter and you said, “ you just let things happen. With that being said I fight hard with anxiety and depression, when you said that it couldn’t have been better timing in my life! Thank you for your videos man you help out in more then survival videos! God bless you and your family!

If you are doing subsistence living on just fish protein, you should be eating the entire fish. boil down the head making sure to get all the fat and meat out of it not just two fillet's per fish. The warm soup in Cold environment becomes addicting. U can still cook the fillets different ways while having the soup

Man. This is awesome. I hope I am the first one to fully agree with you on the plane thing. I commented before but i am a treeplanter. You do have human contact, but that is it. The outside world becomes a blur. You get this weird existential feeling when you see planes and hear planes. They bungee jump you back to the real world, the one that has business, people, death, life, liesure. And you remember your small existence in this world. How everyone in the city/real world is so far apart not necessarily in space, but in relation and relatability. I find that this makes the sound a constant thought in a place of dead stillness.

Wrong wrong wrong, brown rice does not have a greater nutrient value. It is simply rice with its outer husk removed. White rice just has a faster uptake than brown. Also you don’t need more rice anyways you need fats! Fat and protein are your body’s essential nutrients not carbs. And to the clown that says your not the brightest they can eat a big fat dick cause they don’t know a hell of a lot either

When you get still all alone in nature is when you find a type of solitude that cannot be beat. You can really have a chance to enjoy it. Another great episode Joe. Only one thing, I don't want to see you like that again when you do this kind of trip. Take more food you would need to keep your energy high. Do not only count on food you may catch. This is painful to see you suffering. I really like you and everything you are doing but not at that price. You've got a family and these guys need you more an everything. Please consider that next time and do not take risks like this trip in the other lake with lots of bears. Anyway, I am waiting for next episode as this one is already over. One hour passed in few minutes watching you and then we have to way another 7 days or 7 weeks I must say, lol.
