A lot of people have forgotten but Kelly has said many times that she took opera lessons before Idol, to improve her range. She’s said it on The Voice, on her show , on a few interviews. Her range is sick, she’s amazing! I’ve crushed on Josh Groban for years, his voice is crazy!

Talissa S She only trained in opera in high school so she could afford to go to college. She decided that a scholarship in opera was one of her only avenues for a scholarship .....she got the scholarship 😎. The girl has the pipes!! She is the only person that I have ever heard that could out sing Aretha on Aretha’s own hits. She is totally amazing! She opens her tv show and sings a requested song. She has sung in every musical genre. She nails it every time. She usually does it better than original artist that made a hit out of it! She so is incredibly talented. 🤩🤩🤩. @@matcam6235 part of the success of Celine's performance of the song is that it's in line with the style of singing she has done all of her life. If Kelly performed a more classical style of singing on a daily basis, she would knock it out of the park. Also, she was much heavier in this performance then she is in 2020 (and to her credit, publicly acknowledges that she wore spanx - like almost full body style). So for her to sing as well as she did in a body compression suit while 40-50+ lbs overweight is quite remarkable, in my opinion.

What I love most about Kelly is her versatility. She can truly sing anything and adapt her voice. Is she the best at any/every genre of music? No. But can she SING and DELIVER in any genre? Absolutely. She's probably the most humble and versatile musician of this generation. I will always love and respect her. She's a gem. Edit: I feel this way about Nicole Scherzinger too (versatility), though she isn't humble in the slightest haha. Love her tho.

The first time we ever saw Josh Groban was on a show called, 20/20, I think it was. Celine Dion's duet partner wasn't able to make a performance and David Foster called Josh to fill in. Josh, if I recall, was in his late teen, said he couldn't possibly take the other man's place, etc. etc. Finally, he did, and both my husband and I were in tears. We've never forgotten their duet, and I think it can still be found on KZbin. We just adore that young man, And Kelly? She is just the best around--her heart is just as big and giving as her voice is.

I think she may try to avoid Fox if she can. She has all the connections now & the world knows her true overall talent as a humble, authentic, smart & brilliant woman.
