Just 6 weeks ago I lost the love of my life, my Ginny. We met nearly 40 years ago, had been married over 36 years. She died at home in my arms from complications tied to her cancer. I remember the first time I ever heard this song. It was 4th of July 2000 - my first one with Brian (we'd been together 3 months at the time), and we were watching the Lynnwood fireworks. This song came on and, with fireworks flying to the music, made me cry buckets. I was remembering 1999 as being so starkly different than where I was with my sweetie exactly one year later. I had no home, no sweetie, not even my daughter was with me because I was temporarily unable to care for her. 7/4/1999 I was at a friend's apartment in Fife; she was already in bed and I was watching the evening's neighborhood fireworks exploding in the sky outside her window in the warm evening...and I was so very sad and lonely. Exactly one year later, I was watching fireworks again - except this time with someone who cared about me. This time I was smiling. I was so glad to be with whom is now my husband. He will always be my KISA...I love him so much.

I want to dedicate this song to the memory of Miss Karen Ann Barton. She left this world for her eternam journey on 03/23/2010. She has two wonderful sons, Chris and Phillip that are grieving the loss of their mother. Just know guys that you are so loved and your mom is so proud of both of you.
