Personally I don’t think 2017 UCF was even their best team as compared to the likes of 2013 UCF (who btw if your one of those f&cking shmucks who loves to talk about SOS this team destroys your world). However it’s a pretty bold claim that the #1 offense in the country doesn’t have enough depth to play 4 quarters……. Now was 2017 UCF the best G5 team ever? Well no, but they should have a chance to prove, just as all other G5 teams that were wrongfully snubbed. Your comment is similar to me claiming that Alabama doesn’t have enough depth to win 30 games in a row and the G5 did the sh!t.
@eddiewaters43832 жыл бұрын
@@brian2440 Not taking away from UCF, they had a really good team that year but the #1 Offense ranking is a joke along with everyone else's rankings. Until everyone plays a balanced schedule trying to rank by statistics is foolish. Running up numbers against lesser opponents doesn't mean anything.

You need to have one spot for the G5 at least. With most of the top of the AAC going to the B12 there’s a bit less credence to this argument, but we cannot afford to have a situation like 2008-2011 BCS era because it will fundamentally destroy the sport….. It’s crazy to me the amount of people that don’t even realize the actions taken after that disaster that led to the creation of the CFP. You ever wonder why it took 1 year to create the CFP whereas today we have a bickering committee that can’t decide on anything for 8 years? Hundred million dollar civil and billion dollar federal lawsuit will move bureaucrats like butter…… It still never made up for the absolute criminal bs taken against the G5 in the 2000s, but at the very least you need to allocate a secured spot for one team to avoid the massive lawsuits from returning.
@Mountaineer8652 жыл бұрын
@@brian2440 G5 schools play too easy of a schedule to guarantee them a spot. Playing 1 big game a year (Boise State in the 2000s) isn't enough
@brian24402 жыл бұрын
@@Mountaineer865 that’s interesting when multiple P5 teams have made the CFP without beating a single Top 15 team…. But in actuality your argument falls flat with the timeframe of teams I referenced. The first submission of an 8 team playoff came after the 2008 MWC was rejected from making the championship despite the fact that this team beat 5 Top 25 teams including 2 Top 10 teams. 2009 the MWC champ beat 3 Top 20 teams. 2010 the MWC Champ beat 4 Top 25 teams including 2 Top 15 teams 2010 the WAC Champ played 5Top 25 teams including 3 Top 15 teams and the ACC Champ. None of these teams made a championship.

@jayjayjames23322 жыл бұрын
I mean outside of Alabama, it's not that bad. ACC has won two and the Big Ten has won one and only the Big 12 (lol) has failed to even make a championship game. SEC has only had 3 teams even make the playoff after 8 years. Big Ten has 3, Pac-12 has 2, ACC has 2 and Big 12 has one, then Notre Dame twice and Cinci. But as usual, the SEC rides the coat tails of their top 2, sometimes 3 teams a year which are no doubt, typically the best team in the country so they ultimately win it all and everyone else pretends the entire conference is great when in reality the middle of the conference is no better than any other P5's middle of the conference. Yes, Alabama (and currently Georgia) are elite and probably the best two teams in the country. But as of right now, no other SEC team is any better than any other conferences top teams and most aren't even that close.
