Josh, that presentation of your Atlas race is excellent STUFF ! The artful video, the beauty and amazing sound. It sounds like you may not have come in first. That is because you are dragging us along throughout. Josh you won and we are the beneficiaries

What an effort, mate! The way you edited film is stunning, especially effects of mind overcoming a long-distance race.

Really enjoyed this video edit, really original style. Also liked hearing about your attitude towards the race and disconnecting from the outside world.

How did the technicality of Atlas compare with HT550? Just managed the Ullapool to Kinlochewe (Fisherfield) section of HT550 and found it absolutely mental hike a bike, couldn't cycle most of that bit, almost cracked! And managed only a slow pace of 2.8km/hr - Looks mostly wide 4x4 track in Atlas though
@joshibbett Жыл бұрын
You can’t really compare the two. Atlas is 99% rideable and predominantly wide 4x4 tracks and a fair bit of road. HT550 is all about mountain biking and a lot of hike a bike

@@joshibbett Thanks, almost binned AMR off the menu for the coming years after Fisherfield sapped me! Really good to know
@joshibbett Жыл бұрын
@@jameswong391 don’t worry Fisherfield is a pretty unique in the world of bikepacking! Atlas will be east in comparison

Hi Josh, great video and thanks for your coverage of the 2023 AMR too! Quick question, what HUNT dynamo wheels would you recommend for a full sus 29er competing in the 2024 AMR?
@joshibbett Жыл бұрын
Hi Mark, you'll need the go for the HUNT Search29 wheel set. Its used the Trail Wide mtb rim but uses the SON front dynamo: www.huntbikewheels.com/products/hunt-search-29-dynamo-disc-wheelset?id=ProductVariantDrop&variant=12881637539917

Josh, Gravel or MTB if gravel minimum tyre width you’d run?
@joshibbett2 жыл бұрын
Minimum tyre I’d run is 2inch… a mtb would probably be the best alround option

Hi what type of bike did you use for this ? Cross country bike or gravel bike?
