I am so with you. I think part of the beauty of the original is "it ends right." I will be so mad if they make it about a divorce. I think all of us long for the happily-ever-after. It'd be nice for the new movie to grow their story...not repeat it.

I don’t consider myself to be a person of faith any more but I do like movies with positive messages, like several of the ones that Josh Lucas has been in, and talks about here. I just don’t get how people can make all these horrible, violent, crass movies and be proud of themselves in any way. How has that helped anyone but themselves? Wouldn’t it be better to make a movie that uplifts people, where when audiences leave the theatre after watching it, they feel better?
