You can see Josh already has it, he can skip past defenders at the last minute and give himself that extra space to play the ball. Whenever I have seen Kakuta in the first team however I am a little disappointed because I have seen what he did for France in the summer and what he has been doing in our youth and reserve teams. I think if he is allowed to develop his game with the first team he will turn out alright.

Why do people keep comparing him to the new lampard? :/ lampard never started developing as a player until he was 26, this guy is 17. i'm not a chelsea fan but i'm english and with this guy wilshere, rodwell, raheem sterling, cleverley, connor wickham etc it's exciting times for england after a shit summer in s.africa - lets hope he's better for england than lampard is anyway, what excites me about mceachran is he glides past players like messi and has the creativity of someone like scholes.

@HooverWoover I agree lampard wasn't as good till about 24 not 26 because believe it or not lampard was a master class in 2002-2004 for chelsea where he played teams like lazio bsiktas and destroyed them in the champion league. The age thing could be down to lampard's development at West ham like joe cole compared to one of the best development around the world at chelsea for the new kid. In any case I hope the boy works as hard to be the best like lampard has and I guarantee something special.

@unknown2022 The reason Chelsea fans feel they are justified in judging an 18 million pound transfer this early in the season is because he came in to replace Joe Cole, Ballack and Deco (any of whom could have covered nicely for the absent Essien, and Lamps). Of course you're going to judge the guy. He's a millionaire, don't feel too badly for him. In addition to that, he plays for Brazil, and should bloody well know the importance of giving 100%. That being said, he was better today than usual

McEachran is a decent player, how the fuck can you compare him to Wilshere who is starting week in week out for one of the top 4 sides in the country. His stats make him one of the most productive players so far for Arsenal judging by the amount of goals he's set up even while playing the deepest of a midfield 3. McEachran has done fuck all, don't throw stupid comparisons around.
