LSUs schedule sets up perfect. Three toughest games (ole miss, bama and ou) are all in Death Valley. LSU not losing all three. Might even get 2 wins. Bye week before rebs and gumps. In CBKs First year he beat BOTH of them. As for the rest of the schedule CBK in year 3 has his team in a better spot than the other 9 coaches he will face. Kaleb Jackson will contend for SEC post season honors. Williams and Emery each have 1,000+ career rush yards. In the receiver room. Lacy, Hilton and Daniels ALL had an avg over 17 YPR. Then there's Z Thomas who was voted 1st team AP back at SEC media days. He was 2nd team return specialist. AFTER them there's Anderson the #1 LA WR in the '22 class, Sampson the #1 WR in LA '23 class and Parker. Tigers TE room is one of the best in the SEC. Three dudes 6'6" or better. LSU defense has been getting its fair share of WINS in 11 on 11 drills in practice. That didn't happen last year. NEVER.

Going 10-2 isn't a guarantee. It depends on the losses. Say if LSU loses to Bama and Ole Miss it'll be tough to jump enough teams to get in. You'll have all the power 4 conference champions and a group of 5 team. So there's 5 slots gone. Bama and Ole Miss are probably 10-2 or better in that situation so they're in over LSU. So that's 2-3 SEC teams right there. These 4 teams in Tennessee, UGA, Missouri, and Texas all have a great chance of going 10-2 or better which could take up more potential slots ahead of LSU. I have a hard time believing they'll put 5 SEC teams in. You then have the Big 10 getting 3 or 4 in, ND taking an at large slot if they're 10-2 or better, and maybe have 11-1 teams from the Big 12 and ACC who didn't win their conference championship taking a slot.

Josh has been saying since early this spring that LSU will take a "hit" on offense because it lost the Heisman Trophy winner and two first round WRs to the NFL draft. However, Nuss, the gunslinger, was always a better passer than JD5. He just can't run like JD5. Which is why LSU totally revamped its running game that together with LSU's best OL in the country, will be virtually unstoppable. In addition, going into this upcoming 2024 season, LSU has considerably more talent at WR than it did in 2023. Indeed, Josh always says all LSU has coming back at WR is returning starter WR Kyren Lacy, but Josh is way, way, way beyond stupid with respect to LSU's WR talent going into the 2024 season. For instance, LSU also has very speedy WR Chris Hilton, who is virtually unstoppable. LSU also has last year's 1,000 plus yard receiver at Liberty University, CJ Daniels, who has more than proven in fall camp that he is more than capable of playing in the SEC.. Then lastly, LSU also has Zavian Thomas, who was Moo State's leading pass catcher last year and who also led the nation in punt returns and kickoff returns. Then behind all of them, LSU also has a bevy of younger five-star talents willing and rearing to go waiting in the wings. Indeed, when it comes to WR talent, LSU just reloads. But Josh is just too damn stubborn, set in his ways, and just plain as too damn stupid to understand that. On top of that, LSU also has the best OL in its history with two expected first rounders playing both tackle spots. Moreover, LSU has a newly revamped running game designed to make up for the loss of JD5's running ability. In fact, one of LSU's running backs, Kaleb Jackson, is 6' 0' 235 pounds and runs faster than 22 mph. That dude is going to remind a lot of people of the Leonard Fournette days. Don't get in front of that guy unless you want to be blown up. Meanwhile, LSU has the de-facto best TE room it has ever had. As it has a junior, who is going to prove to everyone that he is a first round talent before the end of the season. Next, it has a 6' 6' sophomore and a 6' 7" true freshman, who was the number one TE in last year's recruiting class and all of them are coverage nightmares that don't drop balls. Hence, it's my contention that LSU's offense won't take a "hit" like Josh foolishly assumes it will. If anything, LSU's offense will be even more prolific in 2024 than it was in 2023. Moreover, the new LSU defense will be very significantly better in 2024 than it was in 2023, courtesy of LSU's new all-star defensive coaching staff. Not only that but the punt return team will feature a new transfer portal punter that averaged 47 yards a punt last year for Louisiana Tech. Thus, since LSU's offense won't take a hit in 2024 relative to 2023, as Josh so foolishly assumes, and in fact, may actually be better, and since LSU's new defense will be very significantly better in 2024, relative to how bad it was in 2023, then that means LSU can't miss the CFPs since all it has to do is win one more game than it won in 2023. Indeed, all LSU has to do to make the CFPs is win just one more game than it did last year and LSU's is in. Which is inevitable because the new LSU defense is very significantly better than it was last year, and the new LSU offense also won't take a hit as Josh so foolishly assumes His less than professional evaluation of LSU based primarily on his own personal preconceived notions regarding LSU, earns Josh a down vote from me, but a justified down vote from me.

Which is why he repeated once again his tired old preconceived narrative about LSU he has been spewing like a low-information ignoramus since the beginning of the year . Meanwhile, one of the first thing Brian Kelly said was that LSU is going to be a much more balanced team this season compared to last season. Meaning that LSU's defense under new DC Blake Baker and his assistants will be far better than last year. However, because of Pates's preconceived mindset, he said LSU's defense is a big question mark. Pate also said the offense will definitely take a hit at the QB spot and at the WR spot, which is the same thing he has been saying ad nauseam since before spring practice. As that is Pate's preconceived notion of this current LSU team. However, Brian Kelly in his most recent press conference Pate says he listened to, Brian Kelly didn't talk about any of that at all. Now it's true that Brian Kelly did say he was trying to toughen up the team because he assumes LSU will play in a lot of close games this season, but LSU plays in a lot of close games every season. Nonetheless, Nuss has always been a better passer relative to JD5. So why would a Nuss quarterbacked team take a hit? Especially with the reload at WR this season. Nuss will pass for more yards than JD5 did last season. Moreover, Pate is so incredibly stupid regarding this current version of LSU that it is laughable. For instance, Pate foolishly assumes Kyren Lacy is the only decent WR LSU has returning. However, Chris Hilton is easily also as good or better than Kyren Lacy. CJ Daniels a transfer from Liberty University where he caught passes for more than a thousand yards last season, is proving everyday in fall camp that he is also good enough to be a stud in the SEC as well. Furthermore, Zavian Thomas, a transfer from Moo State is also showing why he led Moo State in receiving last year and why he was the number one kick off and punt return specialist in NCAA football last season.. As all those dudes are good enough to eventually end up as first rounders in the NFL Yet, if we all listen to Josh Pate, LSU only has Kyren Lacy to hang its hat on at WR and that's it. In other words, Pate doesn't know shit about this current iteration of LSU's offense. Meanwhile, TE Mason Taylor is going to show everyone why he is going to be a first round draft pick in next year's upcoming NFL draft. Sophomore Ka'Morreun Pimpton at 6' 6 is a miss match for every one in the secondary all day long. While 6' 7" true freshman five star number one TE in the country last season, Trey'Dez Green, has shown out every day in fall camp. As he certainly doesn't look like a first season player. As he looks like a very veteran player out there. In fact, LSU not only has the de-facto best TE room in its history, but also the de-facto best TE room in the country and it is not even close. Yet Pate knows nothing about that aspect of LSU. Moreover, LSU also has a newly revamped running game to make up for the lost of JD5's running ability and to also take advantage of LSU's best OL in the country. Meanwhile, Pate doesn't know anything about Kaleb Jackson, who at 6' 235" runs over 22 mph and will truck anyone who gets in front of him. As Kaleb Jackson was very underrated in high school because he didn't play his senior season due to a broken ankle. Nonetheless, that dude is Leonard Fournette reincarnated. Finally, Pate believes LSU's defense will be shit again like it was last season due to piss poor coaching. As three defensive tackles from last year's team still got drafted into the NFL, with one of them being a second rounder and looking good in the preseason. However, one of the first things Brian Kelly said in his latest press conference Pate claims to have watched and listened to, is that this current LSU football team will be far more balanced than last years football team. Meaning that the defense will be very significantly improved. Yet Pate still foolishly assumes, like the enormous ignoramus he is, that LSU's defense will be shit. Thus, since Pate doesn't really listen even though he says he does, is mired in preconceived notions about LSU, and all in all is a complete and utter ignoramus when it comes to LSU football, he generously picks LSU to finish 9 & 3 in 2024. Which is an improvement of his previous 7 & 5 prediction he was making last month. How generous. As Pate is always very consistently wrong about LSU. Just like when he was told repeatedly that Joe Burrow would be an ace at QB for LSU and as usual he was too stupid to believe it. its the details and I am an LSU fan. The third down conversions will drop 12% from 50% to 40% at best which is still good and the TD's vs FG's without JD5 running the redzone offense will take a hit. Touchdowns vs FG's will drop dramtically when LSU beat Bama in 2022 they were 5 of 6 TD's vs FG's thats an anomaly and will be coming abck to life that is why this defense has to play top 40 defense the back half of the schedule

I am an LSU fan but your not looking at the details and that is 3rd down converisons and TD vs FG ratio vs Bama in 2022 LSU scored 5 TDs out of 6 inside the redzone and 1 field goal. LSU may move the ball well on offense but those 7s that turn into FG's chip away at the final score 4 points is a big difference an I believe LSU was 50% thir down conversion on offense last year. LSU with as horrid as their defense was last year gave up 65% third down converisons in their 3 losses. So they would get to thrid down but not get stops. Not going to lie the road games concern me all three of those teams are very hungry South Car, TAMU, Arky , and Fl and have their backs agianst the wall.
