Josh I’m having a lot of trouble with my factory crank pulley the bolt keeps coming loose. I know the factory bolt is only good for 1 use but I’ve some done mods to the engine. Putting down 420hp to the rear wheels and I think I need a bolt that is reverse threaded so the bolt only gets tighter. Does such a bolt exist and have you ever heard of this problem I’m having!????? Please advise!???? Thank you!

If you've replaced the bolt with a new one, is it a factory bolt? Did it have Loctite on the end? There are supposed to go to about 250 ft lbs. How tight have you been torquing it?

@@JoshsCarCorner Yes it is the factory bolt. I’ve bought 1 or 2 from Chevrolet 1 or 2 from Cadillac with loctite and the pulley keeps coming a loose.

@@JoshsCarCorner I’m not sure about the ft lbs. I can try and use a torque wrench to make sure it 250 ft lbs this time

My 06 shift light works. I think i set it the same across all gears.... maybe i dont remember. I set a cold and warm shift light, works as it should

It may work, but the only RPM it's working against is the one you set for 5th gear. Whatever you put in the other four gears doesn't matter cuz it never gets referenced. This is the point I am making.

Looking back at the screenshot i made when i did the update i did set 1st lower but i dont recall it being any different, at that point i am never really looking at the tach to see.
