"Dominique Wilkins probably the most underrated player in NBA history." - Charles Barkley He really is, man. One of the only six players in history to go 10 straight seasons averaging about 30 points a game. That's incredible. And he did it against Magic, Chuck, Bird, MJ, all those guys and their teams. He's my favorite. He also literally invented the windmill dunk. Even Jordan copied some of his dunks (reverse two-hander) That Dominique dunk is absolutely perfect. A complete display of power, strength, hang time, style. I could watch it every day. and I probably will.

10 years later...he gets waived by his 2nd team, and moved to the bench after a week with his 3rd team. Somewhere in there is a good player, I wonder if he'll find it before he retires... I'm an ATL fan for the East, and a HOU fan for the West...so both my teams have had this dude...I seriously hopes he figures it out, but at least the Rockets realize he's PF and not SF. Those years in Detroit did him no favors.
@icthlarin7968
@icthlarin7968 9 жыл бұрын
In an interview he said that he didn't know what to do offensively with HOU and after his couple bad games he sat down and watched some films and looked up to DMo. He's improved his game DRASTICALLY with every next game, he is a great player
@Seracen
@Seracen 9 жыл бұрын
Icthlarin Eufownchsnvop I just read an article about that. Gotta respect that he owned up to it. Hopefully him and Dwight can develop good basketball tendencies. Like I said, I remain uncertain about the end product. I just can't shake the feeling that HOU and ATL are regular season teams (records notwithstanding). But I am still cheering for the Rockets and the Hawks!
@htxcris713
@htxcris713 9 жыл бұрын
Your saying it as if him being on the bench in HOU is a bad thing. He's doing great coming off the bench and he has given the Rockets the depth they've needed this season. Just check his stats as of recently, his 3pt shooting is 50% in the last 10 games or so and nearly had a triple double the other day. So don't make em seem as if he's being put to waste.
@Seracen
@Seracen 9 жыл бұрын
Most people who are lucky enough to shine in ANY aspect of All-Star weekend tend to try to parley that into a more relevant role in their career. I actually commend Smith for wanting to go back to the bench, but you'd think this many years in the league, he'd have SOME semblance of basketball IQ, or at least a knowledge of what his shot selection should be.
@Seracen
@Seracen 9 жыл бұрын
Basement Network I can respect that, but after how many years did he finally decide to do this? Like I said, there was a good player buried in there somewhere, he just needed to find it. Perhaps it took getting released by two teams to make him realize it. I suppose the biggest thing is that we expect so many things out of these athletes (understandable, considering their status and income). Just look at how everyone bags on Dwight, even though he's probably still one of the best centers in the league (flaws and all). Even so, HOU needs to realize that Smoove IS NOT a stretch PF! Him AND Dwight could learn a lot from McHale's game!
