He's a superb player. His comp playing really shows his musicianship to me. I'm a guitar player (pretty limited - but what I do, I do well), so I have a lot of experience playing with others. I have to listen to him some more. The several times I've seen clips, he's been playing rhythm most of the time.

He was so cool when I messaged him on Facebook to express my admiration for his work. Just a total gentleman. "Keep playing!". Inspiration needed, and given. Thanks to your Uncle! "My Turn" is my fave modern blues album atm, it's phenomenal.

Love how their styles and sound are so different but mesh so well. Ariel has the quirky, innovative, almost exploratory playing, Kirk has a more classic, tasteful, soulful approach and Josh is just a machine. His vocabulary on the guitar reaches Stevie Ray Vaughan levels, just an endless well of awesome guitar phrases.

Josh is a master of the guitar, his playing has that jazzy inflection and his improvising flows so nicely, it flows right through him almost effortlessly. Ariel Posen is cool as fuck and his playing is super interesting, he really takes you to a place that you don't expect. WOW.
