Matt has that thick modern Strat feel, Josh brings insane jazz & country licks, and Kirk always classically reminds us where these blues came from in the first place. Josh is my personal favorite but man, each one brings something unique here and all 3 are just as good as it gets.

I thought Kirk was the most musical/ easiest to listen to even though he could have been louder. These guys are all incredibly talented! I just thought the comping stayed the same and there's no real development in the dynamics. They're all great players, but Kirk just knows how to lay back and build. The other guys just keep on keepin' on. Kirk can start slow, be melodic and he doesn't seem to worry about being fast or jazzy or chromatic or OMG, let me get a melodic minor scale in somewhere so people know I'm good! jk I know they are jamming and jamming can sometimes get monotonous. With some simple techniques we can spice up our jams! Great stuff! Just my two cents.

Kirk Fletcher is playing his solo at a lower volume compared to the other two guys but they don't give a shit, they keep on comping as if nothing was happening :(
@nickrailton65044 жыл бұрын
I reckon they’re all playing at similar volume. Schofield stood something (boost? channel switch) to solo. Smith’s t-style cuts through anything. Fletcher’s Les Paul just sounds muddy in comparison. That’s why a tele is such a great blues jam guitar. IMHO

These things that happen at NAMM shows tend to be things that these guys can do off the top of their head. The interesting things you’re alluding to could become a bit of a train wreck.
