Last month, the biggest date in the rock and metal calendar took place as over 80,000 people descended on the hallowed grounds of Donington Park, Leicestershire for the 16th annual Download Festival and Guitar Interactive Magazine was on-site to document some of the highlights of the event.

If you see this Josh. You and Darron Malakian are my greatest metal guitar influences. Stevie Ray Vaughn and Neil Young are almost as great musical influence for other reasons. Keep killing it.

Josh Travis was an unhinged trend setting revolutionary freak in danza and sadly emmure is stripping him of his ability to dominate. It’s tragic. He needs to do a solo project. How can someone that capable be confined to the basics of emmure. It kills me inside.

Josh wanted to be in Emmure and work with Frankie, and he has for a long time. He didn't lose his ability to play technical, he could easily play insane Danza III squiggly riffs with Perfect War Forever chugs all he wanted. He didn't want to come into Emmure with an already established sound and change it though. I wish Josh was in a project where he could do the stuff he used to but I don't think thats gonna happen. No more Danza or Glass Cloud but Josh is still playing, there's that at the very least. Appreciate it or not. Maybe at some point he might start playing crazy stuff in Emmure, you never know.
