Never been a fan of Epiphone however they do appear to have upped their game. Interesting.

Me either. Never came up liking them or interested in them. But that 355 is one of the best in my collection. Out of all my Gibson LPs, Strat and Tele, it’s currently my go to guitar.

@@csharp57 Well yes the older traditional guitar such as tge 335 are where their strength lie . The Sheraton looks an awesone guitar.

Funny, that black beauty g string went out if tune after that bend at the end.. i have a 2018 Epiphone Black Beauty with the same problem its always going out out of tune, especially the g string. 😂

That’s what it usually means, yes. Not in this case though - it’s the name of the finish (Vintage Original Sheen).

Seriously, why would they make these? I get the other "inspired by", with the OG Epi headstock, but why this? Wait a bit and, for a few hundred more, you can get an actual Gibson. If you're so set on the name, you're willing to pay extra for a fake Gibson headstock... just get a Gibson!?

Honestly the SJ200 has caught my eye. The Gibson model being about 6k, it puts it in the impossible to buy category and if I were to spend that much on an acoustic I’d probably get a Collings or Atkin or Martin and it wouldn’t be a jumbo. This puts the jumbo in the realm of possibility for me.

@blueveinriver3253 That is a good point. It gives musicians access to an instrument, of extremely similar quality and sound, that would be unobtainable otherwise. 6k is INSANE. You look at materials and labor cost, factor in overhead etc., and there's still about 3.5k unaccounted for. After COVID they just got greedy... and Greeny 🥁

@@InhalerOfTheRifftree to me the SJ200 and J45 are the stars of this series. For the electrics you can mod the old IBG to be better than these by a mile (by completely gutting the electronics and replacing them high quality components and pickups). My epi LP Special is honestly better than my friend’s Gibson after I modded it. You can’t mod an acoustic. These are perfect for someone who wants a good acoustic but can’t financially make the jump to a proper Gibson or Martin. Also (in my case) they’re good “out” guitars, as in I don’t want to risk my Martins by taking them out camping or gigging so I’d rather have one of these for that purpose and keep my Martins as my main guitars for recording and writing songs
