I saw Joshua in GC and twice in Emmure, happy to see him over and over again. He said "awe" when I mentioned I wasn't much of a fan of The Chariot during their end tour, but, with 6 bands there, I bought my ticket because I wanted to see GC. Joshua, I am not sure if Emmure songs are your best work, evolve their sound please, utilize the full breadth of your talent. Nonetheless, you are my top 10 fav guitarists, and this video is perfection for speaking with your audience, responding.... See you when you come to Phoenix again sir

More glass cloud please! I was amped for Josh Travis in Emmure and all but Hindsight kinda showed that Frankie's only gonna let Emmure get to a certain level of goodness. Look at Yourself was awesome but if we're just gonna be writing Korn and Bizkit type albums here, we need some glass cloud! Where's Jerry??

Look At Yourself was sooo good. Then Hindsight was truly a turn in the wrong direction. Didn’t give Joshua any time to shine

I have thought that Emmure has been holding Josh back the second they released a single. I was expecting the insane dissonance and weedle leedles, but nah. 😔

So Tuning the 8th string to D was no problem at all? On my 28" Schecter it feels okay but i have the feeling that even a bit shorter scale would make it too wobbly. If this D is okay on the 27.5" neck then this definitely will be my next guitar
@harrytalbot15072 жыл бұрын
i have an RG8 (27" scale) and 9-80s. pretty flabby, but if you hit it more gently it stays fairly in tune
@Turbo_Toad Жыл бұрын
@@harrytalbot1507 Late posting this but ive been using baritone and 8 and 9 strings for the past 5 to 6 years and tbh u gotta have long ass fingers to mess with the 30" scale baritones haha. I'd say the sweet spot for me is around 27 to 27.5 but 30" makes them sound more clearer for sure.

brooooo what is that tone what you using?
@MadDjentah2 жыл бұрын
He's said many times, he uses Mark V preset with a tube screamer in his Kemper. And some Axe FX pitch shifters. He doesn't tell why his tone has so great definition, I think it's a secret and revolves around these pitch shifters- they can also be used as a harmonizer, having that nasty chorus-like effect Emmure guitarists utilize since 2010 album.

Also, he told me he likes fret buzz, it's part of his tone. And he mics with 3 mics on recordings. For these streams he probably just uses some cab sim. I'm not sure what.
