Just for your information, you should never grind nonferrous metals on a stone grinding wheel. It can actually cause the stone to explode. The pores in the stone are supposed to breathe, and they get clogged up with the brass or copper or other nonmagnetic a.k.a. nonferrous metals and can overheat the stone and cause it to release the glue holding it together.

That takes time and isn't a guarantee to pan out. If you need a guy right away who can run independently, it's not the right solution. The complication with hiring for all trades in general is that it takes experience to get good and most of those guys have moved on to their own business or are being very well treated by a company who knows what they have already. Mike's Golden Goose will be someone who tried their own company and found that side of the business wasn't for them, or someone recently relocated for unrelated reasons, or something of that nature.

We had a problem where half the job was getting to the job or chasing it to its next location and then marry it until we got it repaired or ordered parts for repair ASAP.
