What an eclectic mix of kit and equipment, you can feel the spirit of all the old hands that used to work there then it closed overnight. A lot of memories held within those buildings but time for new beginnings and a fresh start it will be very interesting as to how you will develop this addition to your empire !

I once worked for a guy who went to estate sales so his wife could buy antiques, and ended up buy the contents of the plumbing/electrical/tile/whatever shop the deceased owner had. He'd drag me there afterward to grab all the good bits. Always fun to walk around and exclaim "Oooo, look, an old crescent wrench!" I get it.

That's a really nice shop,everything's there to start right up. Just need some good fitter welder's, who can read blue prints also having the work to keep them busy. Im guessing the previous owner couldn't find work or clients to keep the place afloat. Times are tough everywhere . It'a beautiful piece of property, congratulation on your new buy, and a new chapter begins for C&C Equipment.

Reminds me of a motorcycle shop I bought back in the 70’s. Owner died, I was the only one who showed up for the auction. Bought the whole shop for $400. Took a week to move it all with u haul trucks. Tons of stuff. Over 200 350 Honda engines alone.

Best advice I can give ya. An uncle of mine was in a similar situation bought a building full of stuff like that. He contacted an auction company to come in. His guys and the auction company sorted through it all and put the rest up for auction. He said the amount of time it saved him was immeasurable. Just a thought good luck.

I was a weldor fabricator for 30 years and loved it. So typically when a business closes the assets are auctioned off not left and the doors locked. Also I follow Diesel Creek and Scrappy Industries. Those guys are the learning channel. AL B.in Ohio.

What an opportunity for your boys to tidy the place up and then to start making products you could market, accessories (tool boxes, dog crates, canopies, bull bars, side steps etc.) for utes (what you call trucks), 4 wheel drives and the like or even for the machinery you sell and service. A great business they could build up in combination with yours. Don't trash the plastic, it is so useful and saleable.

I can easily foresee Fabrications of Dozier blades and even the smaller plows for Pick'em UPS! There's plenty of space that I sincerely doubt you would have to get rid of all of the tools of the trade you are so blessed to be able to share your knowledge with the children growing up to be young men and it appears🎉 they will carry on with your legacy! I and my wife photographed a Juvenile Facility/Prison (with the State's Permission) that had closed down, and all of the Machine Shop's Large Equipment, Tools and supplies were all left behind. Room after room, with lunch boxes, jackets and other personal items that were just left where they were sat down. It was extremely fascinating to see and this video reminds me of the hundreds of pictures we took to document it. Building after building, chapel, gymnasium, power plant, prison cells, barn, theater and more were just left in tact. Thanks for the long vidja and bringing us along.
