Yes I agree. From now on, airlines are thinking into the future. They are thinking hard and they are being wise. Now this new generation of aircraft are more fuel efficient, probably more spacious and also a lot quieter.

TAP is killing it with these routes on A321LR from Portugal to the US. Lisbon is the closest continental european capital to the US. It makes all the sense, they should really expand their routes in the US. There is a lot of room for that.

TAP should not be allowed to fly to the US if they do not follow US laws of refunds for cancelled flights. Flights to the US through Portugal is a good idea but TAP needs new ownership.

Flying time to NYC from Paris and Frankfurt is same as that from Lisbon despite some extra distance. And TAP's connectivity to the rest of the world and Lisbon's connectivity to the rest of Europe due to its location is not great. So the route doesn't offer any advantage, for now. Maybe if TAP increases its connectivity to Asia to act as a hub, like Finnair has done, then it may be a different picture.

TAP has a lot of routes in the US. New York, Newark, Boston, DC, Miami, Chicago, and San Francisco. Plus they now have new ones to places in North America like Montreal, Toronto, Punta Cana, and Cancun.

Great look inside TAP! I think though with narrow bodies you don't have that spacious feelings that you get on a wide body. Would always prefer the latter for 7+hr flights!

Take my word, don't do this. Awful seats. Additionally, this plane is too light for transatlantic service and the turbulence was horrible. I took this both ways in November and it was a horrible experience. Even the food was substandard. Never again. This made me decide to never go transatlantic in econ again.

Finally my hometown airport, voted the most beautiful airport in the world! (kinda new to the channel, so went directly to TAP flights) 😀 Oh and the bridge on the amenity bag is in Porto, not in Lisbon. It's called D. Luis and was built by Eiffel (yes, the Eiffel from Eiffel tower )

I'd be happy to fly on a TAP narrowbody across the Atlantic. Flew on the very first TAP A319 from Milan to Lisbon in 2018 & would go out of my way to fly TAP again. The pilots & cabin crew as a group wished us a pleasant journey on our disembarking the then 21 year old plane. A nice touch, I thought. That's the clincher for me.

Hello, Josh. Another very informative video. Just a little bit of cultural awareness. This hot towel, a Japanese creation, by the way, called Oshibori, was mainly set to refresh and clean one's hands. Cleaning up a face, neck doesn't look nice. Well, just a matter of etiquette. The noise during the flight sounds like waves rocking pebbles and sand on a beach. Nice to see the guy seating next to you: it gave a nice touch to your video.

How were they as far as carryon bag sizes go?? I hear they are sticklers. Did they make people put it in the bag sizer before boarding? I’ve been stressing out about this too much. I fly with them in 2 weeks and mine is not 8” in depth, more like 9.25”. 😟I do t want to have to pay the high fee to check it at the gate.

Just got off this plane from a Lisbon to Toronto flight. Made a big mistake of booking awful economy seats because I didn't understand that there were lie flat business seats. I was praying for the flight to end. As a possible future frequent Portugal flier, I need to investigate TAP Business. I'm too old and unpliable to repeat narrow body econ Atlantic crossing.

Thank you for the review! My wife and I are together (d-uh!) so we wouldn't mind being side by side. No need for us each to have our own row (but you're travelling alone so I can see why you'd prefer the other type of seat). Just be aware that not everyone is a solo traveler.

Bom dia. I prefer a single seat 4B anytime over the 5K seat. Even with the double seat there is some privacy when you put the seat to a flat position. This is definitely one of the newer aircraft than those I have taken from LHR or LGW to LIS. Love the amenity kit and if I happen to see you at FRA this week I will hope to see that colourful socks on you. In fact I think I will check it myself lol. I must say that for such flight reviewers like yourself one has to appreciate that you may sleep a little so that you can bring her the review but yet you look fresh always.

Hi Josh, TY for flying TP my national carrier. I think for the price you get decent quality even though it is a narrow plan, but since I flew on a 707 many years ago coming over from Lisbon to NYC, this is alright to me despite the squeeze. You did not mention the quality of the entertainment system, was it decent? When you can fly them to São Paulo or Recife.

Crossing on a single isle aircraft would get my anxiety up too much! It is all a head game from wide body to narrow body. But, US Airways lived off of the 757 going across the pond often before they changed their name to AA after the merger.

great review . you must try (SaudiGulf Airlines) business class if you would fly to Saudi Arabia , you can fly with this airlines Domestic flights inside Saudi and also to Dubai and Amman , if you fly to Dubai you can change the airport to Sharjah airport and try the new airbus A321LR (Air Arabia) "first low cost airline in the middle east" to Kuala Lumpur the newest destination of Air Arabia , also you must try the Airbus A220 Egypt air express

Sorry, the 3-3 seating configuration on a single aisle plane is just too constrictive. The two-one seating in Business class leaves me with the question of how do you climb over the person next to you to use the lav? I never want to fly to Europe on one of these. The 757 is hell for in excess of a 3 hour trip.
