More info - the reason why retro Nikes are so uncomfortable is that the polyurethane is much stiffer than what they used back in the day. The OG’s were much different, and I’ve never heard a solid reason why other than they’re just cheaper to produce.

Also, the Lucky Greens are by far the rarest and most expensive, followed by the Purple Denims (both were hyperstrikes) while the chlorophyll and corduroys weren’t very rare or coveted until years later. Signed, an OG.

I was given early access to purchase them on the snkr app, but I decided to pass on them, as I had purchased the 1s purple leather on the nike app the week before in the sale with an extra 20% off. The purple air max 1 are 🔥 even though they are not a patta collaboration.

This is a fine colorway and all, and props to Patta for their anniversary, however this type of pair is so indicative of old head hype. Back then, there were not nearly as many colorways, and the limited nature of these shoes in tandem with few colorways made this coveted. In 2024, outside looking in, this does nothing for me and is just a green Air Max 1 with the classic color blocking. Not knocking anyone who likes these or feels the nostalgia for them, but nothing about this release feels special from a product standpoint.

You could say that about a lot of grails. You could say the chicago air jordan 1 is just a red, white, and black shoe. And now in 2024 air jordan 1s are not as popular. But when you add the story and history behind it, you get the hype, nostalgia, and high demand for them

The release on these was awful. I’ve purchased 2 different Air Max 1s from Patta and didn’t get early access then the actual release got botted to hell. Got through the queue with less than a minute wait and sat there for 2 minutes while the bots took all the stock

Air maxes fit great and are a comfy shoe for me, which i still prefer over many of the new models. Comfort is very subjective, so dont trust josh, but try it yourself.
