As an artist, this game is such a pain to look at, my biggest gripe is how inconsistent the art style is, you can clearly see where they used ai upscaling to speed up the process and where they manually redid the textures The original SA already had the problem of really weird textures sometimes but with the new high quality ones it's just too uncanny to ignore, it really looks like just some fan made project from 2010 and It's sad cuz I was really excited when i learnt that they were remastering the game, I hoped it'd be something akin to the halo 2 remasters with actually great graphics even if the gameplay stayed the samed, but Rockstar never fails to dissapoint Anyways thank ya josh for another 6 hours of content to watch while i work :3

Before these were announced/leaked Rockstar bought Ruffian Games, who worked on the Master Chief Collection! When they got leaked I really really thought that's what they bought them for, but no they just outsourced it to a mobile game porting studio :/

10:27 finally someone else pointed this out, it's so annoying to move the camera all the time to look around. In the original the camera stays in place and will only reset after you don't move it for a while

The health goes down so quick because of the high framerate. If you cap the game at 30 FPS in the settings option like the original game is,your health will decrease slower like in the original. The high framerate also affects the driving school missions and drive-bys like Catalina's missions

They broke it so it acts like 60fps all the time. That's why swimming is shit. Also ai accuracy is fucked because they just broke it so it's always like you are in a car.

My personal biggest complaint about DE is that many of the models are still from 2000s. CJ sure is remade and looks more or less like a decent human being, but most of the scenery is the same 3-poly completely flat buildings. I do not see any prop that actually has a newer model compared to vanilla SA, and it sure shows. For a 2000s game having a cliff composed of ramps is understandable, but looking at the same cliff in 4k and with all shaders and stuff sure shows how low-poly it is

imo GTA 3 suffered less than GTA SA, but they completely destroyed grim atmosphere, game became a joke, famous "gta 3 feeling" is gone. my main beef with defective edition is stuff people praise it for wasn't hard work and wasn't made by war drum studios, like skies, shadows, dynamic lighting etc, it is already prepackaged in ue4, they did nothing that is worth praising, it is like again "at least I didn't get sick in restaurant"
