I have to agree the battery life is terrible. I have the V6000. its been one of the best cellular cameras I have. I'm trying out the Tactacam Reveal X right now. The Moultrie EXO-WV works ok.

wish i would have watched this video before i bought it, i am very disappointed with this camera, it is the 1st and only cell camera ive ever had tho. pic image quality agreed not clear at all. only having 15 and 30 choices i want one that has 10 and 5 sec options. night pics are as good as day for me which is not HD quality. i think the camera misses more opportunites to take a pic that it actually does.

If I have multiple cameras will I have to pay for having both cameras on cellular network separate or do they come together as just 1 plan. Like say it $10 a month and I have 5 cameras do I have to pay 50 dollars a month or is it just the $10 for all 5
@we-will-see-what-happens2 жыл бұрын
Yes if you have multiple cameras you have to pay an individual price on each camera if you get the pro plan you do get a discount for every camera added after the first one though

I have 5 of the Moultrie Delta base, one non cellular Moultrie, and 6 cheap cameras. The cheap cameras are all under 40 bucks and they all outperform the Moultrie in every way except they are not cellular. The non cellular Moultrie was around 50 bucks and the 35 dollar wildview STC-WV14 has better detection, better pictures both night and day, better shutter speed, and better color balance. I use the cameras to monitor a property that has been broken into several times and I bought the Delta's because the thieves keep stealing my cameras along with other stuff so I need to be able to see them on my phone so I can get the police coming when they are there and I have found that I can walk past the delta's and they often will not trigger while the cheap cameras always do and the color is off, a dark blue vehicle looks grey on the Moultrie. I have a Moultrie and a stealthcam monitoring the road and the stealthcam gets at least twice as many cars as the Moultrie.

Great job on the review! I have had my 1 delta camera for around 3 months. I have it only take pictures, they are sent immediately to me. Roughly 2000 pictures and 20 HD pictures have been sent. Have not needed to change the batteries, I am using lithium batteries. I am very impressed with the 32 mp picture qualities over my phone. I can zoom in far and very good detail compared to my 20 mp cameras. I have not imported any from the SD to my computer, so I do not know the quality there. Night time images are hit and miss. Some are bright and I can identify a buck at 40 yards, others are dim and I can only see 10 yards. My early morning pictures are foggy. I have not had that issue with my other cameras. Day pictures I have had no issues with. Overall I am 3/5 satisfied with it. If the early morning and night pictures were as consistent as my other cameras I would buy another. I have a few non-cell cameras Bushnell, Moultrie, Primos and few a off brand cameras. My bushnell trophy camera is my only camera I do not have any complaints with.

Mike-I agree with you feedback-I run multiple properties and have been using Moultrie’s since initial launch of the mv-1’s. have had similar issues illustrated-customer service had been better than it ever has-already have had to send back 3 cameras that have failed. I hope they can get firmware updates for better performance. I have two cameras that will not take pictures greater than 10 yards. It does seem they didn’t have everything ready to go before roll out

I am first time trail camera user and got 2 deltas on sale recently. I've struggled with some of the same issues. I was thinking maybe I just wasn't doing something correctly. My night pics look similar to yours. Just barely see the eyes . I also don't think the format SD button works. It sets up their dir structure if not there but didn't erase older files. But then all I had were the microsd in the SD adapter. I've bought some regular sds to put in soon. I've also seen the camera take pics but not send them. They say to use lithium batteries. I've also bought some of them to swap out when the initial alkalines die. Shall see if it makes a difference. Gonna keep trying a few things before trying out tech support. Working on my list of issues.
@josephbonadio19033 жыл бұрын
The other sad part is the continued lies by moultrie....its going on 5 months since they said a firmware update will be released, they only recommended lithium batteries when they received many many complaints and claimed lithiums would solve the issues,then they claimed that to solve dark night pictures take the camera into a dark room take a picture then a picture with lights on, repeat 8 times that should solve the dark night pictures, they will blame the customers before taking responsibility of a crappy camera....now they claim the Delta is being made by a new company and new ones will be sent out to replace negative cameras, im on the list, this will be my 3rd replacement...

Have placed numerous Deltas on four separate properties. Cameras have locked up/failed and quality of pictures have been poor. I suspect the image quality is much lower to save bandwidth on upload. All delta cameras have a firmware issue with the PIR sensor and all my cameras will not take pictures of activity greater than 10 yards away, CS has been great and they are aware of the issue and an update is coming sometime in the future. The poor history of continuous performance and current PIR issue make it hard to stay with Moultrie. Have been with Moultrie since MV1 days and currently run over 25 Moultrie cameras both cellular and non cellular on 4 different properties. They are really have some issues with the Deltas that should have been corrected before taking to market and/or quickly fixing them, The previous version of Moultrie cameras work much much better-running XV cameras that work much better than Deltas-wish I could buy more of them.

They definitely rushed this to market for sure.

Thanks for the review. I have two Moultrie regular customers I use on video. Love them. Sad to hear they dropped the ball on cellular. For me it's hard to beat what spypoint offers me. Have 4 of them that have been out since August 2020 with HME 12v solar packs. I never have to go to the cameras. I have heard that they miss photos but I haven't noticed that. I have a Moultrie camera on the same tree on video at one of my setups so all I really miss is the following deer after the first one trips the cam. But for the money pretty good.

4:32 I had this same kind of disappointment when someone gave me a "1080p" dashboard camera for my car. Although the video was ultimately recorded in a 1080p format, the quality of the hardware and software which is necessary for capturing and rendering a high dynamic range and accurately defined 1080p recording was non-existent. They do retain the useful marketing of the megapixel count, but the actual effectiveness of the charge-couple device and image rendering can be sloppy in defining sharp differences in shape in color.

Good review man. I've been running two Deltas. Thought that my first may have been a lemon so I grabbed a second one. Nope, it is just the Delta platform itself. Tested them side by side with older non-cellular Moultries. Deltas miss A LOT of animals. Had the same issue with flash at night and found a small solution. I placed the camera at 1.5-2ft off the ground and it solved the issue at night. However, that does create other problems trying to get pics of animals close to the camera. Customer service was responsive but not helpful to any issues I had. They did offer a refund.
@5thGenNativeTexan3 жыл бұрын
Right now the vast majority of Delta users are extremely unsatisfied. Off and on flash / dark night pictures, green/blue tinted day pics, cameras not checking in to the mobile network, lithium AA batteries a minimum requirement with the reality of an external battery needed. It's been almost four months since the .34 firmware was pushed out, and no news from Moultrie other than "they are aware of the issues and are working on it". I'd give anything to ditch the four new Deltas I have and replace them with more 7000i units. I have a few 7000i units on the ranch and they are fantastic. As of right now, the Delta is a dud.
@allansharonmiller65143 жыл бұрын
I have a 7000i and it works well also but they don't make it anymore. My MV2 bit the dust so fortuately under warranty but replaced it with a Delta. It failed the 3rd day so now they will eventually send me another one. Hope it works better. I still have a Moultrie 990i and 999i for a few years with no problems. Love them. I'm thinking the cell cams are made cheaper.
