Larry is a great friend of mine. He is top shelf!! You are only getting a glimpse of his total goodness in this video. His architectural works have the same amount of detail and perfection. We definitely need more Larry in this world. Great interview. I’m going to use my broadfork Larry made for me now. 👨🏻🌾💚🌱

@@JoshSattinFarming I've watched many 3 hour KZbin videos because I found the content interesting. If you're patient enough to grow a plant from seed, you're probably patient enough to embrace a longer, interesting KZbin video. LOL. I'm glad KZbin norms didn't stop you from sharing Larry's process with us. :)

"Go, Larry! Go! Go! Go, Larry!!" We love Larry!! Ashleh and I have had a Big Bertha for a few years now and we absolutely adore it for our plot. It might be one of the few tools we are sure to split an even 50/50 in use. Want to get a larger plot just to broadfork with Larry some more. Go, Larry! And thanks for making this video. 🍻

I only have raised bed gardens for my own personal use, but this makes me almost want to put up a high tunnel and do no-till just to have an excuse to order Larry's broadfork. Phenomenal interview, Josh. I enjoyed this so much and truly appreciate you bringing these stories and interesting people to our attention. I wish both you and Larry great success. Beautiful craftsmanship on that broadfork.

I am one of the fortunate persons that crossed paths with Larry. His forge spent a few years in an unused bay in my Electrical Contracting shop here in Wisconsin. Watching his design and manufacturing perfection was most interesting. His tools do not break! He is indeed a grounded and intelligent bonus in today’s fast paced world. So glad my son, John, forwarded this Utube video to me. I miss having Larry in my world. Truly one of a kind!

I ordered one of his broad forks tonight. I’ve been looking at various ones, but I could not pin down one I trusted to be made with quality. Thank you for such an incredibly interesting interview. Much like the ones with Jeff Bender, it's such a pleasure to listen to someone who is so well-versed in their craft. The forethought, detail and precision take this seemingly simple tool to the level of art. Not as grand, perhaps, as his decorative pieces, but no less enduring and meaningful. I love the connection to the Old World and through the generations-how more human can it get to use our brains to develop tools that help our bodies to feed our families and communities?

such a interesting video. Larrys makes a raw tool but it is complicated in its function. Reminds me of a Merle Haggard song, "Are the Good Times Really Gone For Good?" His manufacturing standards of minimizing waste and chemical use isn’t wacky environmentalism, it’s a common sense business practice. Unfortunately consumers today want flash over substance, so we only have ourselves to blame. BTW, I still use a gallon of linseed oil that my dad bought 50 years ago. Great stuff for tool handles!
