I am listening tonight I need this music. It will be a year on the 23ed that my David went to be with the Lord. I miss him so much. He battled cancer for almost three years. This music is helping me deal with the loss of my husband. Glory be to God he is no longer in pain but rejoiceing with our Heavenly Father. 🙏💟

It certainly bring back my teenage memory. We were having fellowship meetings every week without fail. Every Wednesday we have our prayer meeting. Sunday is our worship and fellowship. Why fellowship on Sunday? Bcoz many of us are first generation Christian in our family. There are persecution from home. We are chinese, we follow chinese traditional worship, which is idol worship. We were converted but our family not yet. There are alot of joy love and comfort when go to church and fellowship. I miss those younger days, when things are simpler. Sunday will mainly focus on worship and fellowship. Thanks for playing these hymns songs. God bless your music work. It is a blessing to us.

I loved this music, it was soothing to my soul. I lost my husband a fe months ago. He was only 61 to cancer. It was a long hard battle and so I began drinking just to sooth the pain. He became a different man with all the drugs he was on. It was hard on me so booze gave me nothing but it felt good to be anywhere else but my pain. I have now quit drinking and and am a lot happier and a lot closer to God. Thanks

Sorry to hear about your mom passing. One of my favorite moments was after a Sunday night concert at a little church. An elderly woman who had to be about 90 years old came up to me afterwards with great joy and told me that she felt like she was going to "fly away" when I played "I'll Fly Away". It's a blessing when my playing can bring comfort and joy to older saints in the Lord. Thanks for commenting.

My Mom loved music, she especially loved the older hymns like you play on guitar because, it was the hymns her generation grew up with, loved singing. My Mom played guitar and dreamed of one day being a country music singer but, things in life including getting married kept her from ever reaching her dream. She passed away in April of 2008 from a brain hemmorage. One thing that makes your music Josh so appealing you play many well loved traditional hymns, that sadly are not sung in many churches today. They have been replaced with contemporary worship that many older people dislike. Churches sadly in sense have forgot and shut out the older generation because, the churches have tossed out the loved hymns these people knew by heart, and loved to sing.So, it is very refreshing for many to hear these beloved hymns played by you on guitar. In churches that only have contemporary worship the guitar players of these praise and worship teams could easily play a couple of the traditional hymns on guitar each week for people to sing.

I agree. The fact that old and young struggle to coexist in churches is sad. I am grieved by the generational divide in churches but I praise God for the churches that make the multi generational thing work. It seems to be a rarity these days.

@@JoshSnodgrass Hope Church up north in Atwood. The Foreman’s pastor there. They sing some Messianic hymns by Paul Wilbur, too. Truly a worshiping congregation and Rock-solid Believers. The church has a page on Facebook. The Vineyard in Greenwood has a lot of musicians, too, but might’ve worth a try.
