First of all Well Done. I got the Hiking bug after I left the Army in 1979, Hike 1 The Pennine Way South to North 360 miles in 18 days. Hike 2 Pennine Way North to South 16 days. Hike 3 Coast to Coast (West to East) 180 miles in 10 days, Hike 4 C2C (East to West) 180 Mile in 10 days. One year off from Hiking then Hike 5 John OGroats to Lands End did not record milage and that took me 6 Months, walking for approx 10hrs per day. Hike 6 Lands End to John OGroats no milage recorded. Two years later I tackled the Clockwise Complete Coastline of the GB Mainland starting and ending at Lands End, unrecorded milage but think that was in excess of 5,000 miles. A two year break before going back to the reverse the previous Hike, the Mainland (Scotland England and Wales). Now retired and having plenty of time on my hands I Congratulater fellow Hikers like yourself while watching their KZbin Hikes, it passes my days before the Summer and no doubt the Hiking will continue. Good Luck for any future Hike you do. Tony in Essex (67 yrs old and still hiking)

Why are you not more popular. I will do my best to talk about this channel as much as possible from now on. Leaving you on my TV in my house I already can feel the energy absorbing. I feel more healthy minded and happy about the things I do. My father is a massive fan of adventure like this so I will be telling him about you and we might plan to do stuff like this next year together. Thank you very much for doing this. Please keep this up ❤ the way you smile at the camera when you're having moments of joy makes me actually smile at my TV like I'm watching my family ❤

Absolutely brilliant!!! Well shot, well voiced-over, well edited. Everything. Congrats. This trip for you was way more than a geographical destination, and you achieved it. I’m thankful your family - particularly your mom, was able to give you those moments of encouragement. I’m impressed and inspired. I’ve been attempting to convince my best friends to go with me on my next trip to England and hike somewhere. Hadrians wall, Yorkshire Dales, anywhere. I’m going to share your video to help inspire them. Thank you for sharing your journey with us. Best wishes.

Absolutely brilliant video. You stirred up a lot of emotion for me. I am beginning my backpacking adventures next spring. I love hiking & share our adventures on our channel. I’m 48 & feel regrets for not heading down this route earlier in my life. I too suffer with mental health (Army Veteran), and the outdoors do help massively (like you said, better that medication). I want to backpack to rediscover myself. You sir, have my utmost respect & congratulations for completing the epic journey you did.

Hi Josh, thank you so much for this absolutely beautiful video. (This for sure deserves WAY more views. JUST SAYING!!) i lost my dad recently, he died from MND suddenly. He walked all the streets in Bristol! And logged his journey of which has been published in news articles. My dad also struggled with his mental health at times too, and found walking helped him a lot. Me and my mum find comfort in watching this video as it is a way of connecting with my dad, through you! As he loved walking too. The message about maybe not reaching the finish line, as it were, is also so true too. Such beauty encapsulated in this video regardless, and doesn’t matter! Keep going :)

Hi Megan, I am very sorry to hear about your dad passing. He sounds like a great man and a true adventurer! I am so glad that you and your mum could get something out of this video, that really means a lot to hear. I wish you and your family all the very best as you navigate these tough times. Keep going!

hello fella we’re nearly 60 & because my old friend became fairly immobilised because of spinal condition she began reading to escape constant tv in the long winter days & began with reading Free Country by George Mahood & plenty since. I really admire your effort because it’s inspiration for myself because before I die I must at least do Lands End to South Foreland & cannot think what is the longest distance I have walked in one day in my time since being 16 in 1980. Unless orienteering or hiking or charity is your thing I’d bet there’s millions like me whom haven’t walked further than 15 miles between sleeps. Incredible really & your walk is really incredible ! Thanks for this mush 😁👍🐢

Josh, this is the most engaging, thought-provoking, soul-nourishing documentary I've watched in quite some time. My absorbtiom was all the more pronounced because with every frame, I was all too aware of the effort you put in to the production to enrich my viewing experience.... effort that inevitably made your journey more draining on your energy. This is a beautiful adventure that few humans will ever find the nerve, courage or will to undertake, and for that reason, you're a cut above. Congratulations. Thank you.

Josh - you have filmed this so beautifully. I have walked many miles on many routes and I have also watched a ton of walking videos by adventurers such as yourself. Really, this production of yours has been cream of the crop material. I hope this really puts you on the map, where you deserve to be. To have your own back story incorporated into it, at the same time highlighting the nature of mental health as part of being a human being in this, the 21st Century, is the cherry on the cake. Well done, I salute you and hope you have many more adventures!

Thank you very much, Josh, for this splendid, interesting and so beautifully filmed and inspiring hiking video! I've watched a lot of hiking videos in the YT. Yours is so far the best one. I loved the realism of it, long and wet days are tough, with sore muscles and joints. However, the toughest hikes give the best memories, and the feeling of overcoming the problems is great and carries you through many tough situations in the life. The overall positiveness and enthusiasm of your video is charming. I wish you all the best and wonderful new adventures 👍💕 You got a new subscriber from the currently snowy and frosty Finland.

I've caught the hiking bug. On your mental health, Good luck all the way with this. My mental health was also the same reason I did my own. I'd been deeply desiring something that I could claim I did and when I saw the Way of Saint James, I decided to that 6 days hike from Ferrol to Santiago de Compostella which was 111 km. Last year I did the way again but this time I went from Reading to Southampton then A Coruna to Santiago de Compostella. Both were deeply helpful my mental health giving me Identity and confidence in myself.
