@M Mac they're young.. they have good ears and they can harmonize pretty damn well.. I was born in a musical family my mom and grandfather and aunts sing and play more than one instrument and I tried to sing ever since I was 10 I'm 22 now.. lol no results unfortunately.. I just don't have the range nor is my ear strong enough to listen through multiple layers of notes which is why I made my first comment. Yes you do of course have to hone your skills and refine it which is clearly seen in the video especially on the high notes but they still have the good foundation to support it

There are so many wonderful little details in this video. When the pianist and bassist look at each other like "we're killing this", when the drummer hits that super satisfying high note in the harmony, when the singer with the glasses looks with admiration at the pianist killing that solo. And everyone is just having so much fun. I keep coming back to it. Great great great work!

@@danperlman230 It's probably because the audio was recorded through a DAW and then mated to the video. It's not synced with a worldclock or anything like that just by eye/ear at the beginning of the clip.

Who would? "If you’re so talented, stop copying other artist's talents and gifts and start writing and producing your own." I fully agree with Mr. Simon's reasons. I know personally that I don’t appreciate anyone plagiarising or copying my work or talents. It is not a compliment.

This is memorializing, this is the greatest compliment any artist could receive! It means the original work was so good that people love it enough to want to sing it themselves and keep it alive for generations to come!!

@@tsfurlan It's called giving a compliment. But if you want to go into the nitty-gritty, there's no sax solo but a nice piano solo. There is a great harmony with 4 different voices ( which is hard to do just live with that setup) and not through overdubbing Paul Simon 4 times singing in a different key. But most of all it was just a compliment. And in my opinion a better rendition than the original.
