What if the courier never walked the Lonesome Road and Joshua Graham took their place?

if Graham heard the audio logs and how Ulysses was the one who sent the White Legs after New Canaan.....this talk would be much..much shorter.

I think he knew. As in honest hearts when Joshua hears you are a courier he says he was expecting Another one. However legion spies were always disguising themselves as couriers so.

It's quite interesting to see how two former legionaires would perceive the path they took up until their confrontation.

I can only imagine Ulysses confusion as "the last stand" starts emanating from Joshua

Love the format but Ulysses def would've heard Graham out with that solid speech check.

Its always odd hearing Ulysses outside the game. the AI voices are usually really good, but...he has such a unique way of speaking that people dont seem to be able to recreate.

Ulysses would crumble under the weight of his flawed view if he knew that he just parrots the words of Vault Tec. This path has been walked before and it has shown only failure.

Killing may be just a chore when done righteously, but some chores are... more pleasant than others. May God have mercy on both our souls.

Ulysses has many good points. His methods are brutal. But it’s realistic and prophetic in its own way… society will burn and burn again until it reaches a balance. Sometimes you have to cut the tree down before it falls on you’re house. (No pun intended)

I saw him as a punk who couldn't make personal recompense for telling Ceasar about the dam. He went for courier 6 because he saw himself in them. Just a punk who can't face the mirror.

I like what was attempted here & appreciate the dialogue, However Ulysses seems a bit out of character. He wanted to do away with the old world regurgitations of economics & inequality. His philosophy dictated that human societies are inherently corrupt because human beings are inherently corruptible and commonly unhumane. Ulysses sought to show the courier that by contributing to House's cause, the Legion's or NCR's, you'd still be supporting the old world frameworks of fascism, imperialism or autocracy. Ulysses believed all of these 'choices' are bad choices. Democracy is a messy web of separate entities all trying to exert influence over democracy. Democracy has the means to allow injustice to flourish & the means by which to resist injustice. To debate authoritarianism vs democracy is to argue through the wrong framework. Ceaser made a case that trading political freedoms for security & to impose the laws against personal Liberties through barbarous savagery is a trade worth making. It garnered him many followers. The the freer & richer population of the NCR did not rule through fear necessarily. Sry I could go on lol kzbin.info/www/bejne/e4vKYot4n86hgtk
