Some songs are just exquisite in their simplicity - not that this was easy to write. The guitar, the lyrics, the ethereal vocals, the strings. This is songwriting. Absolutely beautiful. Hope to hear this live someday.

Joshua, first the video is spectacular. The setting, the texture could not be better. Next, the music is flawlessly emotive; the cello is a two ton feather, irresistibly moving with the softest touch. But my weakness is I’m lost in the lyrics. “All that came apart.” “Fear of hurt, because of me… and you lied” - I’m confused about who caused the hurt, the indiscretion? “You beg to be let in but refuse to knock” “I heard you… do you hear me?” Is forgiveness being offered, but not accepted? I apologize for my lack of insight but I love the song and the emotion, I just have trouble directing it. Who is standing where? Any answers? And thanks for the music, for many of us music like yours helps to deepen the day. Thanks.

Hey Melvin, thanks for listening so attentively. Those are some big questions. I think things are often more grey than black and white. Issues/hurts/or "indiscretions", as you called them, are often complex. One can feel angry and remorseful at the same time. It can be confusing. If it's ever possible to tour again, come to a show and let's have a beer and talk after. I'll lay it out.

I'm a relic, still listen to my vinyl and I'll still buy cd's even for an artist with just one song that I like (- confuses my daughters but that's me). But you have several songs that touch me in song or lyric and so while yes I have a few of your cd's (O Holy Night - had me sitting with headphones on for a couple of hours) I would jump at the chance to listen to you live. I'll keep tabs but don't hesitate to hit me up with info. I'm here or FB or Instagram. Peace.
