@khaya indigenous you originated from somewhere. The real you is your spirit which came from God (the Father of spirits). You were then born through parents, that is you gained access onto planet earth via a womb and got a physical body. For humans we were created with a soul (which is where your mind, will and emotions are housed). Christianity is the name given to the faith (not religion) and person who chooses to follow Jesus Christ as their Lord and Saviour for the permanent sacrifice He offered by dying on behalf of humanity's sins for the final redemption of each person's spirit man (the real you).

Bridgett Johnson Fortunately for me, I know God personally. Whatever the world wants to define Him as is none of my business and does not even offend me. Seek to know Him for yourself and see if the silly debates people have about His skin colour and such really matter. Point is He lovingly came to save mankind from the 2nd type of death which is spiritual death (total separation from Himself and presence). Peace to you.

Amen and Amen! Faith is born from knowledge! The book of Thomas. The truth, and only the truth shall set us free. If 2020 and 2021 have thought me anything - it is that humans are scared of asking questions so that they are not misinformed and mislead. In 2021,people are still scared to ask for explanations. People assume and pretend to understand. I see this at work, in the neighborhood, at church. How do people trust what they do not understand - it baffles me. But anyway we all grow at different paces. Life is a journey.

Then the minute someone says something against the Bible, they fall for it instead of investigating it for themselves.

What is what he says makes sense on some points they make the Bible contradict itself
@KaraboMasemola64083 жыл бұрын
It could be argued that belief in the inerrancy of God’s Word is also a core belief of Christianity because, if the Bible’s veracity is suspect, then all we know about God is in doubt. Saving faith is inextricably linked to the Word of God: “Faith comes from hearing the message, and the message is heard through the word about Christ” (Romans 10:17). But the mental acceptance of the above points of doctrine is only the framework around which salvation occurs. Faith is more than intellectual assent, and mentally agreeing with the core beliefs of Christianity does not equal entrance into God’s kingdom. Even Satan and the demons know certain things about God (James 2:19). We can mentally agree with facts without making those facts the centerpiece of our lives.
