Josha Maponga is a very intelligent African. He is completely correct. The problems which we have all witnessed in South Africa are a replica of what the French did in West Africa. Problems are so fundamental that no serious change will happen until a generation of serious and morally upright men assume leadership throughout Africa. In the case of South Africa fundamentals include the following: a. The state, society and associated social order of South Africa b. The structure, composition, and distribution of property ownership, especially land. c. The Constitution of South Africa d. The South African Reserve Bank (SARB) as a private Central Bank supposedly representing public interests. e. The basic logic that drives how economic policies are designed. The logic since 1994 has been ‘trickle-down market economics’. Instead of addressing fundamentals, President Ramaphosa made a speech on 6th June 2024 where he engaged in trivia. As long as indigenous rulers of Africans act and behave the ways we see them behave in South Africa and West Africa, then black Africa will never rise from the base of the socio-economic pyramid where colonization and apartheid forced them. They will continue to be servants at the feet of other races. The fault lies in irresponsible African rulers and African cliques.

The issue of land is complecated... so who gets this land, because in Zimbabwe politicians shared the farms amongst themselves & still today that land is benefiting a few individuals us ordinary Zimbabweans have not seen any benefits of the fast track land reform

The ANC-DA coalition would be the best thing ever to happen to SA. Hate or like them, but whites are good at managing the economy. The DA will bring the much required financial discipline and checks and balances. No one wants to take the country back to apartheid or let alone colonialism. Zim is beginning to reap the fruits of land reform now that the Second republic has allowed black land owners to partner with whites. The black-white positive collaboration is what Africa needs, not this fear of yesteryear colonial systems, whether real or perceived.
