I love the fact that Joshua is exploring the FX aspect of playing saxophone. I think he is great at it and should do even more of it. Not that I don't like his acoustic lineups, I adore them but this is just the different side of him and his abilities as a innovative and extremely creative player. GO JOSHUA!!!

I wonder what it's like to look up from the keyboard one moment and see josh gettin down. Look up a minute later and the dude took his shirt off during a jazz concert.

I know one reason, it must have been hot as the devil up there. the drummer is wiping sweat during the intro.

Joshua's use of "special effects" (a.k.a. the pitch continuum!) to integrate his ideas is innovative and, as this clip illustrates, energizes the audience as well. Mr. "J" also can express himself quite well on the keyboard as he demonstrates later in this video....

This was great. But I couldn't really hear the keyboard solo, at least until about 10:00. Maybe for that reason, Redman's comping seemed more interesting than the solo itself (As a keyboard player, it pains me to write this.)

You can hear the bass keyboard though (assuming you have decent monitors), Probably the sound man's fault. Sam Yahel and the band probably heard it on the stage fine or they decided to play it like this, Very little chords - I think Sam in general keeps the chord comping volume really low. I've seen this band on a small setting

Woulda made this song even better (I know, is that possible?): JB centre-stage, busting moves for the whole time JR was playing Hammond. In any case, I really loved the organ breakdown.

Great solo intro, but the theme is a bit too fast... Takes away from the groove and the melody feels less "bouncy". Funny to see Redman on the Hammond, only in Japan can you play jazz bare chested to a half empty stadium
