I wonder if these guys know that some of us have been listening this fucking song for like 10 years and cry and get chills every time still. This song is goddamn medieval.

Yes, yes, yes. Oh yea, YES. I love the build up. And the discordant piano. The saxophone pulling the melody along. And the bass building lines of passion and fervor. The few moments where all the instruments meet and synchronize, and for that brief moment you see the clarity of the movement and the direction it's going. It rises and swells, and build. Tempo and volume congruous until the end, where it explodes with it's original intent. LOVE IT.

What a courageous performance this is. I adored this band from the beginning to end. I was at their first public live performance as TBP in the basement Rathskeller like bar of the original Knitting Factory downtown NYC. I had no idea who they were or what I was in for. It was revelatory. At first I didn’t understand what the hell was going on. But after a few songs I caught on and loved it. I saw them probably eighty times over the years. What a beautiful musical arc they had.

Amazing story thank you. I saw them first at the Edinburgh festival in about 2002. It sounded to me then like the future of music.

This is one of my favourite love songs ever. It doesn't have words, a single train of thought, a one way meaning, or need for an explanation. It has a certain melody flow, a certain chaos, a great deal of improvisation, disidentification, confusing moments, pattern breakings, and an evolving enchanting implotion at the end.

This is my favorite song ever! Reid's slow solo to start this song is awesome, then the song begins to speed up and then they are just rocking it at the end!! Dave you are the best drummer I have ever heard, truly a legend. Ethan an amazing song writer and pianist. Joshua's soulful saxophone playing through this just brings tears to my eyes. Love you guys
