In the game at 40:23, it is still possible to OTK with Raye and Linkage even if you draw Roze (or do not have Roze in the deck or GY). This can be done by summoning Engage Zero with Raye instead of Hayate, then when using linkage, the summoned monster will gain 1000 attack since Engage Zero is a light Sky Striker Ace monster.

average master duel experience also gotta be honest, while Vaalmonica isn't fantastic, i cant think of many decks that dont lose to Maxx C + Evenly + Grass. Plus you arent exactly experienced with the deck

That vaalmonica deck has too many handtraps to brick on. I prefer to use 2 versare and 1 disarmonia, 3 of both pendulums and play some lv4s in the main deck like mudora and trick clown so I don't rely so much on selettrice to make any kind of board

Josh as MD, i think he can handle double floodgate sky crisis and rexterm together on field almost equal to king clamity lock, to all monster effect.

No memento...this makes me feel dissapointed. The deck in fact isn't among the best but it's far from being bad, I think Joshua overall underestimate this arquetype so damn much, it's insane.

You're aware meta means 'can top' right? Not understimated decks? Even if he is going to bring a non meta stuff why would he bring memento that still loses to the same thing that meta decks does when he can play Paleo variants that can catch people off guard and punishes people that doesn't know how the deck works

@@mrsquadbot He clearly said in the beginning of the stream that he didn't put memento on the wheel because he thinks the deck isn't very good at the moment, which isn't true at all. Memento can play very well through disruption, better than most combo decks, the deck isn't crazy powerful but is pretty decent for being fun, cheap and complex to learn the combo lines. I also love Paleo and I know the strength of the arquetype but it has a hard time going second against a combo endboard, just like the duel against Endymion that was a quick lost duel to Josh. Anyway, I think Memento is a nice, fun and good option that he could put in the wheel, that's all that I was saying.
