Instead of teaching babies skills most parents just let their babies be babies. It takes time to teach at that age and they won't fully understand it till older. Some kids grow up and liked the attention, some resent it as they thought the parents controlling. If the parent also played and the child inquisitive, it is more natural and then imitation is a part of growing up anyway. When it is a parent child shared hobby, it helps with bonding and enriches their lives. Parents making kids do what they always wanted to do themselves but never did often hurts the kids.

@@Skitdora2010 Kids grasp information more easily than when they're are older usually. So it's not a crime to have them explore their interests young. And by the time they're older, they'll already have really good skills. And yeah, as long as they're not being forced or projected on.

As a violinist of 15 years and a part time violin teacher I must say this absolutely wonderful for his age. He'll get to be around and everyone will know who this kid is. Wow.

Awwww this is awesome! It's amazing to hear him hear that a pitch is wrong and then correct it, a lot of beginners don't do that. And they way he lifted his bow at the end like a true soloist XD he'll be world class in no time! 😊❤

The playing is wonderful. Looked like he wasn't quite prepared to go on stage with an audience just yet. A lot of people might freeze in front of an audience at age 3. Congrats...

I used to type up the monthly programs for Suzuki concerts in our area - all children were expected to attend - either to perform or to be the audience. I remember one program had a little girl’s name and her piece was listed ‘a bow’. She was 3 years old and had just started the program and so this was going to be her first performance - and so on concert day her parents put on her Sunday best, put her hair in pig tails and she waited for her turn - she was introduced - got up - walked to the stage, right in front of the piano - turned to the audience - and bowed. She received her applause and then returned to her seat. That was her performance! And over the years, I had the privilege of watching so many children share their music language. Time practicing music, performing music, sharing music is never wasted!

@@s.lamarre9420 In my younger days I had music lessons for a few years but my teacher didn't organize recitals. I never had the opportunity to perform for my parents. My parents were demanding. They listened to the kids practice and expected us to sound like performers on radio before we'd go on stage.

The fact that he is better than most of my classmates, who are 4 times his age right now if he was still 3 years old, at violin is just amazing. Hes more in tune He plays with more confidence he is younger he has a smaller and more crummy violin but is still sounding more clear than my classmates with 3/4 and 4/4 sized violins.

I like this and wish I could play the violins, but alas, I can only sing it. I loved the video of him playing as a child. However, he did not DESTROY the song as someone stated not in any sense of the word. Shapiro is extremely talented in many ways. Lord bless him.

Thank you for sharing such a remarkable moment of your child with all at KZbin. May he keep enjoying playing the violin. God Bless him and entire family. 🙏💖

How is it negative to wonder if this beautiful child is simply happy? We have our top athletes ruin their bodies, even their brains (concussions). We have prima ballerinas that ruin their feet. We have stage moms and pageants. It's lovely that people are wishing this child well. It's not a bad thing. He is beautiful, I see he is happy. How can we all know what another person's life is like and whether everything is beneficial for them? We can only hope!
