I am planning to do this, this weekend. Is it okay to go at night alone? So people where there, right? Would you suggest doing this to get good pics? I have gopro and nikon d5300? What exact spot you used?

On a milky ways night for sure they will be people. I don’t think you will have issues. Just Bring plenty of water as the heat is something to worry about. Also watch for the creatures of the desert. The normal cares for a hike.

@@MyFlyingEyes sure. Planning to carry atleast 2L of water. Yes if people are there then no issue. Seeing from your pics its a good location. Can go behind arch and also get some pics. Any specific setting for DSLR you would recommend?

Wonderful shots. Could you see the milkyway with your naked eyes? For the time lapse did you use a normal camera, no modifications? STUNNING IMAGES and Video. Thanks.

Thank you !! Over there yes at the right night during the season you can see it with naked eye. You have to get used to the darkness for a few minutes and the you'll see it. Not with those colors captured by long exposure photography, but you can see it. For the time lapse I use my Micro four thirds Lumix GH5. Not ideal to use a crop sensor for milky way, but I did an entire collection, a book and a 3 month show at a fine art gallery with that camera so I kind of make it work. You got some great shots. Is your camera full spectrum or Ha modded? I have a full spectrum Canon 6D. I really want to get out there mid July when it’s new moon. Do you need to a permit or book a head if you just want to do night photography? I will have to rent a car 😬

The camera I use for the pictures is a Full Frame Sony A7IV. The one I use for the time lapse is a micro 4/3 Panasonic Lumix gh5. You don't need a permit to go to visit the park or do night photography as it is public land (It belongs to the people) there is a fee to enter the park but if you enter after 6pm I believe no one charges. But if you want to camp inside the park yes, you need to book ahead. I never slept inside the park so I don't know how much it cost. You can stay at a hotel outside the park it is not far away from hotels. I hope you have a good trip and take great pictures.

Those rules you defend are written by private coprporations pretending to be public. Do you think those respect the rules they write? Hell no. they are a worldwide criminal organization.

We do this to share with the people. If you don't want to watch it that is perfectly fine. if you don't want to watch it and also waist your time writting hateful comments it is also fine with me. I might delete this anyway. but before letting you go, you should know that those rules you defend like a little lead soldier have not always been there. and drones were available way before all those were written. I see you don't have any content and nothing to share or offer and I don't appreciate trolls here. Have a nice life and get lost dude.

When? Visitor center was closed and I left the park before sunrise. Should I go back next day, drive 3 hours and a half just to pay their fee? Anyway I don’t know if you missed the part where I say that I have an anual pass… many people seems to forget our song says “home if the brave and land of the FREE, not land of the FEE.
