I still find Batman & Robin enjoyable but mostly as a place to read a good version of Damian. The story has gone on too long without a lot of interesting moments. Green Arrow has felt like a big waste of time building up to the event. Not all of Williamson's fault, but it hasn't been good. Love the idea of Jeremy Adams taking over as an excellent writer and yeah, it's great because he's also on GL. Harley should go away for a while. Catwoman too although I'm a big fan of the character. Prediction wise I could see Rainbow Rowell on one of the books as they've began using her. I actually like her She-Hulk (although it took time to win me over) so I wouldn't be opposed. Lemire doing DC work again would be great. Would love to have a Nightwing book I can look forward to again. Jeremy Adams on Batman and Robin appeals to me too. Some of the family aspect from his Flash run and I'd like to see him get a chance in the Bat-family of books.

I’m worried about who takes over for Batman and Robin. Williamson actually cared about progressing Damian as a character. So many writers at dc completely ignore what Williamson has done with Damian and immediately think Damian is stuck back in 2009 when he first showed up. Look at this past week’s issue of Batman. Zdarsky wrote Damian as someone who belittled the existence of a clone despite Damian building a sanctuary for various clones of himself. It’s like all his empathy was taken away. Also in shadow war (a book that crossed over with the current Batman book Zdarsky is working on) Damian was devastated to find out a clone of him was killed. He wanted to try to help him.

In Teen Titans he lobotomized villains and killed Brother Blood - Damian is one of my favorite characters and I agree Williamson writes him great (i think Tomasi is still the best) but his overall stories in Robin and Batman & Robin have been completely forgettable

@@WeirdScienceComics that teen titans run was awful. Completely despised by Damian fans like myself. It disregarded all the development from writers like Tomasi and Gleason had done. Every character regressed in that book. Wallace regressed, Emiko queen had regressed. I think originally DiDio was going to make Damian a big bad of 5G before that idea got thrown away. Williamson basically had to help restore Damian’s character after that teen titans run took a crap on him. Through the robin book by Williamson up until now that’s what he was doing. The Batman and Robin book at isn’t as good as it could be. But at least there’s some good Bruce and Damian moments. Both characters are a lot more likable in that book compared to what is going on in the main Batman book by Zdarsky.

I do disagree with good bruce and damian moments though - there are good damian moments but Williamson writes Bruce and especially Batman so out of character to spotlight Damian - BAR might have the worst Batman I’ve read in a long, long time - he is the dumbest person in the book and can’t do anything himself

I find the comic book industry to be like prisoner exchange. DC comics finally loses Tini Howard but it might cost them Joshua Williamson. I’ve gotten to know Joshua Williamson over the last twelve years at New York Comic Con. Success couldn’t have come to a nicer guy. I like the fact, Josh is taking a break, doing other projects and that’s a sign of a writer who respects not only the company but the fans. Josh has a,ways been a fan. Wondering if Tini’s last issue Selina becomes Non-binary Cat? Why not. 🤷‍♂️

@@WeirdScienceComics I liked Josh’s Flash run (2019?). Justice League vs Suicide Squad was fun. Suicide Squad is so unreadable today, it’s almost underrated. I thought he was a better Batman writer (his favorite character) but was replaced by James Tynion I-IV. His Superman books are solid, soft reset, and helped wash down Bendis’ ridiculous run. Deathstroke Inc was a fun read. Outside of Tomasi, he can write Damian well. I think he gets saddled with a lot of losing battles. Example: New 52 Voodoo ending. DC trying to turn Green Arrow into a Batfamily is never gonna work even if you get Ernest Hemingway to write it. I loved his Image titles (Nailbiter, Ghosted). I think he’ll do fine especially indie publishers where he has more control what to write.

My dream teams would be: an editor with strong organization skills and Adams on Nightwing with Vasco Georgiev, a mid-level editor and Joey Esposito with Jorge Corona or Melinkov on Batman and Robin or (preferably a team book with Damian and his trying to be hero friends under the mentorship of the former Robin's and Batgirls....that's not going to happen though since Adam has already announced his tween book with the Flash kids.) I'd like to see Ram V on a League of Assassins/al Ghul book, with Federicci....and Vigil book that doesn't try to tie into other books. I would like to see Josie Campbell on a Batgirl book--preferably (just) Steph or (just) Babs. I'd really like an Oracle book, but doubt that would happen. I'd prefer Barbara as a mature, highly intelligent determined women over a bubblehead. I'd like Zeb Wells on a Cassandra Cain book, but I'd like her to be in a more independent code. I prefer Black Bat but anything unique to her. She needs a great action story. Maybe Janin as the artist, but would like a little more sty For Jason, I'm not sure on the writer, but I think DiMeo would be a good artist. I think Seeley would handle a Tim Drake book....if the story focuses on solving crimes and detective work. Maybe Michael Cho on art. I guess if the point of the story is mammary glands, Williams on Catwoman....mainly cause Selena is a dud character that I skip over.

Damn, that is a huge loss for DC to have Josh take off some books. Even his mediocre books are better than other DC writers' best works. Its not DC has a depth pool of talent to draw from lol. Marvel and DC both have like 2 solid writers only That said, Tini leaving is a massive W lol. Ill take a Leah book over a Tini title any day of the week tbh

Personally they should just have Harley Quinn as a side character in other books for a year, instead keeping a supervillain Poison Ivy comic. Not a fan of solo Catwoman and after Tom King, I think they need to just not have Catwoman in anything until the next Batman movie🤷‍♀️

Never found Green Arrow as a character all that appealing. Would rather have Jeremy Adams on Justice League or Batman, as long as he stays on Green Lantern as well. Put Tini Howard on Green Arrow. Get rid of all the ongoing villain/villainess books. Make them minis if necessary.

New Number 1s? Are mad, man? DC is way too late for that. People caught on that relaunches is just cheat marketing stunt. Also the fact the Marvel has a Relaunching addiction. Can Batman & Robin can just turn into just a Damian Wayne solo comic? I want Detective Comics to be Centered on Tim Drake without Megan Fitzmartin dirty hands writing or centered on Duke Thomas. Because who care? If it is still Batman regardless it doesn’t matter who’s writing. It can Zeb Wells on Detective Comics and it still sales because fan loyalty. I curious what are Lemire’s thoughts on how other DC writers done with Emiko because I saw people saying they didn’t like how Adam Glass wrote Emiko in his Teen Titans, oh her being angry, cold and bloodthirsty while Jeff Lemire wrote Emiko with curiosity with a sense of humor. My gripe is how Adam Glass Handle Wallace West. Seriously Wasted opportunity to give Wallace an existential crisis and Moral Dilemma. 7:57 There is hinted that Jeremy Adams is gonna write the Young team(possibly new Teen Titans) with Jai and Irey west, Jeffrey Holt, Quiz Kid, Animal Girl and Spoiler. Is it too soon to make Jai and Irey into teenagers? I say again another good reason why Donna Troy’s Son and Garth’s Son should be the new Super Sons. Wolverine just happens to be there purely by coincidence in ghost rider comic. I also believe two art is not the same. And Jeremy Adams’ team book, really? DC rejected the pitch? No surprise there. Williamson seemed over loaded for awhile and I heard his current DC books have been suffering ntm the failed events he helmed. Don't read GI Joe but already heard a lot of praise for his Duke and Cobra Commander series and sounds like his focus is on there for time being. The only surprise with Tini Howard is why it took this long and why she keeps getting so much high profile work. I'm sure shes a nice lady, but I heard nothing but complaints from Marvel fans prior that I wasn't surprised her Catwoman was such a headache. I really don't mind if Selina and Harley take longer than a month hiatus if it means at least getting a good creative team again. Something does tell me Leah Williams will very least be taking over Harley Quinn, who like you I loved the character before she got so overexposed. Also was that Leah Willaims Power Girl fan, was that their very first Power Girl comic ever or very first DC book ever? It does feel like Lemire is at least picking up one of the Bat titles. Nightwing be great as one of the last DC books he worked on was Robin and Batman starring a young Dick so I can see him building on that. While it wasn't one of the announced ending titles, I wouldn't mind if Tom Taylor left Titans given how unremarkable that book has been and with the "Finale" feel of the most recent solicit. Lemire also touched on Dick's relationship with the Titans in R&B too so I wouldn't complain he pulled the NW and Titans double duty like Taylor did.

Also forgot to mention, while I am not personally hoping for it, I can see Kelly Thompson taking over Catwoman. Her BoP is a mess but she's one of the better current female writers for more action oriented books at the very least.

If Lemire jumped on Batman and Robin, I’d continue the book after Williamson leaves. Green Arrow was always safe for me. I’ve felt Zdarsky was getting close to done on Batman for a while now, and I still think he’s done before the end of the year. Batman needs to go back to basics. I love Zdarsky’s work, but I don’t think Batman is for him. I want the street level stuff Batman should be doing. Isolate him more and let him deal with his current and new rogues gallery for a while. It’s felt like DC has needed to do something for a while now. They’ve felt more focused than Marvel has been, but even then. I thought Absolute Comics was that play, but if we get a baller move and get a ton of new number 1s as a relaunch reboot of main continuity at the same time, I couldn’t begin to guess what the score is. I still want to see Donny Cates at DC in some capacity, and main continuity would make more sense than Absolute to me. I have no clue what his health situation is, but rumors that DC has spoken to him in the past says they’ve at least try. Either way, Absolute Power should now be a must read. Something big is going to happen by the end of that book.

Couldn’t get into that Batman & Robin book. Never been a Damian Wayne fan, and the wasn’t a fan of the art style. I’d buy a Batman & Robin with Tim Drake as the only Robin, but that’s probably never going to happen again. But if they do reboot to #1’s I’ll be dropping my subs, anyways.

I’m no good with comic writers and honestly I probably won’t read most of them. Cause I haven’t really found any characters I enjoy as much as Raven & Flash’s Rogues. Though the Angle Man vs Donna Troy by Jimenez in 1987 #180-???. Was fun. I wouldn’t mind reading something similar to that. Jeremy Adams on a New Teen Titans group would be great. Especially if they decide to finally take Raven off of Titan’s and put her in Justice League Dark. I’m still hoping for a good Rogues comic. And I’m still praying that a fantastic Author gets to write Justice League Dark. Like Illona Andrews or Jim Butcher… wait… couldn’t a script writer do it? Could we get Tim Burton!? Tim Burton on Justice League Dark! Oh my GOODNESS! I’d fork my money over in seconds!🤩🤯🤩

Raven really needs a break from the Titans or she needs a Titans writer that won't just use her as only "Beast Boy's Goth Waifu" or retread her going evil again. It wasn't announced as ending but the recent Titans solicit does have a cryptic Finale feel that could either be that arc or the series as whole especially given the League is coming back and Taylor's Titans hasn't been that amazing.
